In the present scenario, management has become an integral part of any organisation. It
helps company to organize and coordinate their business activities so that they can achieve their
goals and objectives in the most effective manner (Meredith 2011). Management has many

divulges one of the most important aspects of management, that is, leadership. It discusses the
leadership style used by one of the richest men in the world "Carlos Slim Helu”. Furthermore, it
also studies the key approaches to understand leadership style used by him.

Leader is an individual who is responsible for leading a group or whole organisation,
collectively with the efforts of team members. They are responsible to create and share their
vision with the people. With an assistance of this, employees can have work in order to achieve

(Northouse 2015).
Carlos Slim Helu is the name which is not very much known by many people outside
American but it doesn't change the fact that he is a multi-billionaire in a country who was facing

in Mexico and has 200 companies under his control. He has focused on different fields using
leadership qualities such as mining, food and restaurant, internet services telecommunication,
etc. Slim also contributes approximately 7.5% of country's total GDP. It has been noticed that
Slim has focused on contemporary values for the success. Along with this, collective working
has been advanced in order to meet the standards so that computing or e-business aspects can be
well maintained. Also he has focused on work diversity which has also created his interest in
infrastructure business sector like mining and telecommunication. It has also been noticed that
he has also focused on consideration of economy, so that better success can be attained. Helu
himself has said the reason behind his success was the inherent modesty and the other part that
contribute to that great success was great leadership style. He was focused towards analysing
situations then take decisions so that correct measures can be taken into account for better
values. Owner uses different leadership styles to influence the surrounding people that include
