INTRODUCTION
Partnership is where two or more individuals or organizations work together for achieving the same goals. In health
and social care firm, people work collectively for gaining maximum advantage of available resources as well as
provide benefits to the society so that they can live their life effectively. Partnership totally depends on its
implementation and maintenance. When people work together then it provides various range of benefits to company
as every member contribute in providing value to enterprise and drive firm on the way of success. This project is
based on National Health Service (NHS) which is a public company based in UK that provides health related
facilities to the needy people. This project will tell about various features of effective partnership working, its
importance as well as it will analyse the way in which this working delivers better outcomes. Also, there will be
discussion on establishing and maintaining working relationships with colleagues as well as with other
professionals.

In partnership, there are many organisations like NHS trust and private care-homes who provide healthcare service
for attaining common objectives. Operation is carried out by partners with a motive which is to promote health and
service users. It may happen that everyone is taking different efforts or actions for reaching to the set target but all
partners have same goals. Working in partnership is very helpful in improving the health of people as well as it takes
more preventive approach to health so that people can live their life smoothly. For every person who is working in
health and social care sector, it is important to understand that why healthcare organisation works in partnership. I
tried to analyse collaborations in this industry because this is a area of my interest and I am working in the sector.
By doing following activities, I identified elements of effective partnership working Communication- I went to Bradford district care trust NHS for finding when I wanted to understand features
of working in a partnership. When I talked with some manager of these trust then they told me that
collaboration assist them in providing better and quick service to public.
Effective listening skill- When I attended some of the meetings which were held between NHS trust and
care-homes, then I found that both organisation need each other and partnership is beneficial for both of
them.
Internet – Their are various websites on internet which help me in finding details about what can be done
partnerships in healthcare sector. One of the prime reason behind collaboration is assistance in technology.
Their are many private care-homes who are latest technology, NHS trust find them suitable partner because

organisation who are working in partnership. This work can be done when two organisation are in the process of
collaboration and they are already working in partnership from a long period of time. In National Health Service
hospital, I have to work with many people for providing better quality of services to users that involve- Colleagues- In nursing home, I have to work with manager, deputy manager, senior care staff, cleaners,
cooks, maintenance officers as well as with administrators. If all people will do their job in a team and with
proper coordination then it will generate the desired results or outcomes. To have effective partnership
among staff is essential. For better coordination, there should be proper meeting between workers by which
they will be able to provide services according to the specified standards. Working closely with colleagues will
be beneficial for me because here I am able to share, utilize and maximize everyone's expertise which will
aid in achieving the planned objectives effectually. Professionals-Therefore, maintaining relation with them is important to provide high quality services to
users. When assistance of other professionals (advocates) is taken, who are partner of an organisation, then
care-homes and hospitals can save them from different kind of troubles like legal problem.
Others- Before providing services to patient, it is important that professionals should consult with their
families and friends so that they can collect information regarding user’s needs, preferences and wishes. For

I tried to analysed the reason behind attaining better outcome because if two organisation can attain benefit from
working in partnership then this concept should get more promotion on healthcare industry. I went to NHS trust for
evaluating the benefit of partnership working. This work was done when I was Creative support. Most of the people
do not think that collaboration in this sector happen for earning more revenue like of other industries but this is not
true. Healthcare organisation work together so they can serve better and overcome each other flaw. In my whole
career, I have seen that those care-homes and hospitals who are working in collaboration, attain rapid growth
because if they lack in one resource like finance then they get support from their partner. This do not influence their
daily operation and assist them in deliver better outcomes. Partnership provides various range of benefits to people
as with the support of this, professionals will be able to deliver the best quality of services to their users. It generates
positive outcomes for many individuals that are given as below-
For service provider-
Partnership increases efficiency and effectiveness of company by which they can provide facilities to its users
according to their requirements.
It expands confidence among professionals as well as improves the relationship with other care taker and
families.
It increases job satisfaction level of employees by doing some creative things.

I understand that when I have to work with an employee of other organisation, then I will face new problems

working is important because it make negative impact on image of both organisation and restrict them from
performing better. District care trust is the place where this problems happens, it occurs when I was doing my work
i.e. working a Creative support. Working in partnership becomes very difficult when there is difference between
individual participants or occupational groups (Cameron and et.al., 2014). There are various reasons which create

objectives is beneficial for everyone. I agreed on some similar goals with the people who are working with me when
I take my own case loads. Below are some points which shows that how I successfully set common objectives

be adopted that are given as below: Competitive- This style is adopted by those disputed parties who have more power. In this, they want to win

resolution. Collaborative- In this style, people want to fulfil needs of every person and try to maintain balance between
requirements of service users and organisational requirements. Accommodating- In this, disputed party meets needs of other person at the expense of their own. This way
is very useful at the time when individuals want to resolve issues calmly and winning does not matter

4.4 Explain how you have evaluated procedures for working with others
Procedures evaluation is important because it stops me and other people in committing same mistakes which we
are doing for long period of time. It is also increase my efficiency. Evaluation is at the time of dealing a own case
load.
While carrying out any kind of activities, it is very important that there should be a procedure as it will provide
direction to work effectively and efficiently. If I am doing work with other people then in this case, my main
responsibility is to evaluate this process on a regular basis so that if no one is doing work accordingly then I can
take corrective actions and do my work in more effective way (Nolte and et.al., 2012).
Evaluation is done by taking feedback from the people who have worked with me. Reviews from service user is also
taken about joint effort which is made for resolving problem of patients in short period of time. I will be ensured that
everyone is happy with specified procedure so that they will perform accordingly. For this, I will ask them for giving
their feedbacks and opinion on this so that process can be modified accordingly and service users will get the best
quality of facilities as per their requirements (Partnership, 2017). With this procedure, users will be influenced
positively as well as negatively that are given as below-

It may harm to the concerned members. At the time of evaluation it is found that some of the service users were not
happy with treatment because they feel that advice given by me was different from others.
4.5 Explain how you have dealt constructively with any conflict that may arise with others
Conflict is not a good symbol for the success of a team as it creates negative environment at workplace. For dealing
with this situation, I developed skills and knowledge by which issues can be resolved easily in a constructive way.
For removing the effect of ethical conflicts and dilemmas for individuals, good communication and listening skills
play an important role as if there will be proper conversation among members then it will reduce the chances of
misunderstanding (Liechty, 2011).
For removing problems from at district care NHS trust at the time of working at working as Creative support, firstly, I
tried to find out reasons of disputes, be non-judgemental in my approach and should also develop same ground to
work for everyone. Along with this, I should also show empathy or understand the problems of others and attempt to
mediate resolution by formulating points of agreements.
When one person's rights are opposed to another individual's right then it creates conflicts at workplace. In this
situation, to deal with conflicts becomes more difficult.
I should also ensure that every service provider gets aware about complaint procedure so that if they will face any
problem in the future then they can take support. If any user has issue then staff should provide proper support to
them so that their needs or wants can be satisfied (Staniforth, Fouché and O'Brien, 2011). By doing this, I am
promoting the relationship with clients as well as their well-being. This action builds a strong relation between them,
their family and the establishment where I work as a manger (Developing partnering strategies, 2017).
CONCLUSION
It can be concluded from the above report that working in partnership is very beneficial for many individuals like
service users, professionals, etc. as with the help of this, service providers provide better quality of facilities to their
users. It has also been articulated that effective working partnership has various features like good communication,

clear objective, effective listening skills, etc. This collaboration is very important for colleagues, professionals and
other people. This report also stated about the ways by which barriers can be overcome that are training, team
building activities, informal meetings, etc. It has also been assessed that while doing work collectively, there may
arise conflict between members which can be removed by following a procedure that starts from identification of
reason of dispute to implementation. These issues should be resolved in an appropriate style and within specific
period of time so that business activities can be carried out effectively and efficiently.
