1.4 Ways to Overcome Barriers in Partnership Working
Barriers that can be founded in these agencies are related to poor communication skills,
misunderstanding of situations or inaccurate record keeping of records. These barriers can be
eradicated by communicating effectively with each other by more emphasizing on face to face
communication (Doel and Shardlow, 2017).
Another barrier can be related to the policies and procedures of working in the health and
social care partnerships. This barrier will be overcome by having regularly safety checks to make
sure that methods used and adopted in the organisation are safe enough.
Another barrier can be of misunderstanding of information passed from one to another.
This barrier can be removed by checking properly that the person to whom the information is
transferred is getting the same as what is conveyed to them. There are many ways by which
improvement in these barriers can be made such as informal meetings, commitment to
partnership, team building activities, sharing information and sharing goals, outcomes and
objectives.

service provision, clear roles & responsibilities, professional approach, avoidance of duplication,
