Background
Effective communication in the workplace is one of the fundamental aspects in
promoting patient-centered care. The organization has been working on promoting perfect
healthcare outcomes through the promotion of patient-centered care. As nursing employees, it is
fundamental to promote effectiveness in the workplace by executing the needs and wants of the
clients.
Purpose
The objective of this report is to clarify on some aspects regarding your current reaction
to the client who requested your assistance in to set up hospice care, complete an advanced
directive and reach out to his estranged daughter. I understand the fact that different external and
internal factors might have triggered your response to the client. Some of the conditions that
drive nurses to react in such a manner include poor compensation programs, bad working
conditions and even bad relationships with the colleagues in the hospital setting. Also, one may
encounter external factors like financial stress and family-based circumstances that transform
negative implications in the working environment.

These factors are hazardous because they negatively impact the decision-making process
among the staff. For instance, internal factors reduce ones internal motivation, thus leading to the
formulation of ineffective decisions. External factors impair the normal functioning of the mind,

and outsourced the requests to another nurse. Therefore, it is significant to promote the
