Patient centered care and its effectiveness
(name of the student)
Literature review is the process that help the researchers to understand the
background of their research purpose and understand the perspective of
other researchers while conducting a research process similar to their
research findings (Tzelepis et al., 2015).
In this process, the nursing intervention that was identified as the most
effective for Mathew, whose case study has been discussed in the paper is
the patient and family centered informed care so that they could understand
the interventions patients are suffering from.
This poster discusses about the literature review associated with the
intervention so that its effectiveness could be identified (Kon et al., 2016).
Introduction
As per the research of Wong et al. (2015), it was found that patient centered
and informed care was important for the patients so that they could
understand the effectiveness of it and develop abilities for conducting critical
abilities (Tzelepis et al., 2015).
The second paper by Kon et al. (2016) indicted that there are multiple
aspects of informed care that helps the patients to understand that these
processes would help the patient and its families to stay positive in the care
process and support the patient throughout the process.
The third and fourth paper also identified towards positive aspects due to
which these families and patients were able to overcome their grievances and
overcome their mental complications (Laerkner, Egerod & Hansen, 2015).
Background
The primary process which was implemented for the conduction of the
literature review would be the search strategy so that all the accurate and
appropriate research papers of that they could understand that accurate
research process and develop abilities for creating abilities for the conduction
of the process so that similar conductions could be managed effectively
(Wong et al., 2015).
Methods and Materials
Mathew undergone a quadruple amputation and in that case he mentioned
that informed care, effective communication and patient centered care
helped him to stay positive and understand the care process.
The papers and literature reviews indicated to the fact that application of the
critical and patient centered care was important for the patient to understand
that they were able to understand the importance of involvement in the care
process (Dalal et al., 2015).
Discussion
While concluding this paper, it was mentioned that patient centered care and
effective communication is an important process that helped the care
professionals to take part in the care process so that they could help the
patients to understand the importance of their abilities and overcome their
inabilities. This paper identifies and analyses the critically important aspect
due to which they were able to understand the importance of it. Therefore, it
was important for patients to understand the process.
Conclusions
Patient centered care is the process where the healthcare professionals
complete patient’s health assessment and determine unique interventions
that are specific for patient's health conditions (Laerkner, Egerod &
Hansen, 2015).
Informed care, on the other hand, is associated with informing every
aspect of care to the patient or their family members, in the process of
taking prior consent from the patient and their families.
This process was important for the care process so that they could
understand the importance of the care process. Hence, this is the process
which has been included in the care process (Tzelepis et al., 2015).
