Problems and challenges in patient information retrieval: a descriptive study.
This article is based upon various patients which are using web for healthcare information. There
is increase in usage of Internet by several people Across the world. this has resulted in increased
number of people who are using Internet to search for their medical condition or any medicine
(Shakeel, Baskar and Selvakumar, 2019). But there is lack of domain knowledge and a
familiarity in context of medical vocabulary. There are several restrictions present within the
environment that restricts the ability of an individual 2 achieve success regarding the information
of medical field. This research is helping to identify as well as classify various problems which
are faced by patients when they are searching for medical conditions on web or Internet. Some of
the problems are associated with informatics research. There is a document based upon patients
who are performing different retrieval tasks and effectiveness of these are managed in order to
conduct effective researchers (Trifan, and Oliveira, 2019). this is a study which is showed for
managing patient information retrieval and it is involved in producing several successful results
and managing problem faced by patients. There's classifications of patient IR problem that is
associated with different observations. There are several new tools present for managing issues
with content and indexing of content. It is concluded from the article that BWH website is facing
a common problem in Association with health website. This provides search for a doctor by
matching the terms today self described clinical interest. The population of patient is not typical
and recruited patient group has 2 perform in a better manner. The website for consumer health
content Medline Plus is used for getting information regarding the representative of health
information (Twomey, Sammon, and Nagle, 2020). Patient IR has failed for producing various
results even after iteration. There are several people who are searching web for health related
information and these are associated with needs of interest. Some issues have raised because of
health literacy and managing the 4 front of medical content on web for patients. The patient
information retrieval is affecting different interactions using web. This allows access to
information, healthcare and services as well as protocols which can be effectively used for
getting information regarding treatment. When there is any unsuccessful I are then a common
problem arises. All the patients have to be highly educated and have good knowledge of
technology for using the information on web. There is difference between relevance I off topic
and several measurements are involved in the study in aspect of IR performance. There are
several instances which provide information regarding measuring the impact of retrieve

the present challenges for IR problems, there are several layers of support which are needed to be
developed for managing patients. There are several semantic tools, domain knowledge support,
filtering tools and mental models which are used for conducting the health information needs of
patients properly.
