In this assignment, it will discuss about the concept of patient safety, improvement of care
in nursing. Analysis that establish a relationship between improvements of care in nursing as
well as patient safety. Moreover, identifying the effectiveness of strong coordination,
communication, relationship between patient and nursing staff members which help to give a
best option for patient in regards of healthcare facilities and services.
What is relationship between patient safety and improvement of care in nursing?
Improving healthcare in regards of communication or interaction about individual patients
during shift changes of nurses and other healthcare profession. Before improving the patient
safety that need to use efficient healthcare policies or procedures, which helps for improving the
overall healthcare facilities and services.
On the other hand, Patient safety is one of consider as preventable harm to patient at the
time of process of healthcare, reduction of risk of unnecessary harm associated with healthcare
(Al Ma'mari, Sharour and Omari, 2020). Another way, it is define as discipline that completely
emerged with evolving with complexity in health care system. As a result, it will increase the
patient harm during healthcare facilities. The primary aim of medical professionals to prevent,
minimize risk, errors.
Discussion on the relation with nursing and quality of healthcare
Patient safety and healthcare quality have become consider as foundational components
of healthcare facilities. Regardless, both safety and quality are driven by system of care,
improvement in order to understand or improve the care in nursing. Usually, patient safety has
been emerged from healthcare quality movement that is equally abstract with various approaches
to be more sophisticated manner (Lee and Kim, 2020). Nursing staff members are consider the
different approaches in order to provide the better prevention of individual people. Sometimes, it
emphasis to the place on system of care delivery prevent any kind of errors.
Quality improvement in nursing is similar to the continuous approach in term of
improving the best quality of healthcare facilities. The term of improvement of care in nursing

which often used interchangeably in healthcare. Different nursing staff member to promote the
best quality of patient safety so that it will maintain or control an efficient improvements in
context of quality alliance, physician consortium within performance improvement.
Apart from that improving of healthcare in nursing which means that combine with
expertise, management related improvement in policies and procedures. Continually assess the
entire performance data of patient safety and setting a proper trends on the basis of healthcare
metrics.
Nursing working conditions and Patient Safety-
The nurse-to-patient is only one of important aspect of relationship between nursing
workload and patient safety. It is likely to link with patient result or outcome. Nowadays, it has
been identified that increases patient turnover and associated with mortality risk, even when
nursing staff members was becoming performed as adequate roles in patient healthcare safety
(Wu and et.al., 2021). Nurse staffing can be performed the complex process that will change on
shift by shift basis, requires close a proper coordination between management as well as nursing
based on patient.
There is causal relationship between nurse-to-patient ratios, identify the actual outcome
of patient which are likely accounted for by both increase healthcare activities, stress and risk.
Whenever, it is missed a proper nursing care- which may represent as error of omission which
require to use a suitable elements. As the most important aspect of nursing care in which
maintain a high quality of patient care and meet their specific need or expectation. The positive
behaviour, attitude of nurses are always influence patient to adopt the best quality of healthcare
service (Lee and Kim, 2020). With respect to the availability of credible information in related to
the patient expectation towards quality of healthcare services.
The quality of patient safety as become multi-dimensional concept, in which become
consider as important aspect for nursing staff members. One of the primary goal of nurses is to
setup appropriate healthcare approaches for purpose of patient protection, preservation and
improvement of patient. Therefore, patient safety is an essential component of quality in term of

healthcare services.
In the domain of internal interaction, nurses and patients are establishing a strong
coordination between each other. But it needed to improve the safety or quality of care. A strong
relationship between nurses and patient which define as mutual engagement between them for
provision of care to patient. Therefore, it can easily achieve the common goal of healing.
