INTRODUCTION
Development of personal skills is necessary for every individual to achieve growth in
their career. An individual should work continuously on their personal development skills so that
they can achieve the goal they have decided to attain in their career for a long term (Amatan,
Han, and Pang, 2021). This gave the rise to the concept of personal development as well as
professional development. Professional development is the process to the development of skills
which are required for professional work and are generally provided by organizations in which
the individual is working for their employees to develop several skills required for their work. In
order to prepare a development, plan no matter either personal or professional every individual
should have their proper goals so that they can have a direction and guidance for their life. These
goals and objective are considered in three parts that are short term goals, long term goals and
medium term goals. If an individual has a desired goal for their life it will help them to work on
several skills which are required to achieve that goal. In other words, a goal helps an individual
to provide direction for their life. This report contains the meaning and concept of personal as
well as professional development in life of an individual with the value of short term medium
term and long term goals. In order to understand these goals in better manner this report also
contain three personal examples of short term goals medium term goals and long term goals.
