Introduction
It is essential to develop personal and professional skills for career development. PDP
plan and setting goals to achieve for personal development helps to enhance these skills (Butina,
2018). The following file covers short, medium and long term goals, PDP plan, and use of source
and evaluation of 8 sources.
Main Body
Task 1
Concept of personal and professional development
Personal development is mainly focused to gain those skills which will help to develop
an individual’s reputation in society. It further helps to develop personality of an individual
l(Winkler, Söllner and Leimeister, 2021). Whereas professional development covers
enhancement of those skills which are essential to develop in career life like management skill
for a management employee, IT skills for IT employees and many more. It is essential to develop
these skills as they helps in overall development of life which further helps to develop better life
standards.
Short term goals
These goals are those goals which are required to achieve within one year because of its
priority (Losekoot and et. al., 2018). My few short term goals are-
To learn communication skill.
To leave junk food.
To attend all classes within a semester.
Medium term goals
These goals are required to achieve within 2-3 years. Few of my goals in this category are-
To complete my graduation with minimum 75% marks.
To apply for internship opportunities which is offered by college.
It is essential to develop personal and professional skills for career development. PDP

Task 1
Concept of personal and professional development
Personal development is mainly focused to gain those skills which will help to develop

can be achieved after 5 years (Theodotou, 2020). Few long term goals are-
To become manager of company.

PDP plan
PDP plan are made to analyse the ways of developing weak skills to achieve set goals of
life. It plays a very important role in developing personal and professional skills (Bukharina,
2018). PDP plan of my few set goals are explained below-
