Exploring PECS: Teacher, Parent Perspectives, Social Impact

This report analyzes data from interviews with teachers and parents regarding the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS). The study explores teachers' knowledge and perceptions of PECS, including its implementation and effectiveness in supporting children with communication difficulties, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The research also investigates parents' perspectives on PECS usage at home, their experiences, and the perceived impact of PECS on their children's communication skills and social interactions. The findings address the correlation between PECS use and peer social interaction, providing insights into the benefits and challenges of using PECS in both educational and home environments.
