THE PRICE FOR THE CRIMES
OF JERRY SUNDUSKY
Pennsylvania, 15th February 2019: Pennsylvania State University have been among the
leading universities that compete among the Ivy Leagues. Although, sometimes what sees is not
the real image. It came as a shock to the nation when the assistant coach of Penn State Nittany
Lions Football team was arrest on the accusation of child molestation. The 67 years old assistant
coach, Jerry Sandusky was arrested on November 4, 2011 on the ground of molesting 52
children. The accused used to groom and influence the children through a charitable trust
foundation named The Second Mile that was founded by Sandusky himself. The foundation was
founded on the motto of bringing individual with excellence talent on sports and acknowledging
them, but it seems Sandusky was using for personal motto. Officials at Penn State failed to report
the incident to law enforcement authorities. Sandusky has been the assistant football coach at
Penn State for 32 years, including a service of 23 years as defence coordinator. Legendary head
coach Joe Paterno and president Graham Spanier were fired four days after the conviction of
Sandusky. Penn State athletic director Tim Curley and vice president Gary Schultz resigned from
their former post after Sandusky was arrested. Paterno and Spanier has been charged of perjury
and not reporting the incident to the authority though having knowledge of it. Sandusky have
been filed with 45 charges on him all with child molestation.
The management at Penn State have been trying to block the case from all possible ways.
The head coach and president have said to be aware of the incident. They have hidden the facts

about the incident from the authorities of the board of members and legal authorities. The event
has been continued since 1970s still no steps was taken against Sandusky. The event have been a
bolstering effect. The event was tried to be submerged from getting any attention from the
authorities of law enforcement.
The board of members at the association have taken keep interest in developing new
features to put a stop of such incidents. It has regulated communication in every level to conduct
feedback form the students regarding the behavioral aspects of teachers and other associates of
the university. Policies such as child protection have been made and regulated. The key motto of
the policies is to provide guidance to the associates of the university to know the boundaries of
the student. Public relation campaign are been conducted by the Penn State University to regain
the image lost in the scandal.
