Abstract
The paper discusses into the details a reflection on understanding people and organization

reason, therefore, understanding them is always a challenge to the organizations and other
institutions where a group of people is gathered to together with similar interests.
The paper also explores in various personal features about people like talents which are
believed to be a unique gift given by the creator.

I needed to evaluate myself and understand others within my surroundings like school
and in the community so as to better my relationship with them and also to better my
performances at school. In the process of self-evaluation, I found out the following factors as
being the basic guidelines for better understanding of myself and others. They included the
emotions in me, my strengths and weakness and how I do relate to others.
Positive emotions. As a leader of the group, I was able to evaluate my emotions positively
and do my best to portray the positive ones in my leadership. By doing so, I was able to
understand the behaviours of the members in the group and correct some the bad habits most
of them had in a polite and respectful manner in that none of them felt offended (pg.456).

The positive emotions have also improved my relations with people outside the school
environment like the society members as am always in the position to understand my
emotions and control the where necessary so as not to hurt or disappoint others.
Relationship with other people in the organization. Following my past experiences in
relating with people like classmates, I discovered that relationship with others can negatively
or positively affect your performance in both schools or at work since working together with
others do affect performance. After reviewing how I relate with my classmates, I realized that
I could perform better in class as there were some units which I could not understand better
but a friend could, so coming together as a group during discussion boosted my
understanding in that particular unit hence I improved in the unit.(Liberman ,2017,pg.67).
I had an obligation to know myself and get to understand some of the unique traits in me
which others do not have and know their application in relation to others and for my own

benefit. (Wellin, 2016, pg.56).These have helped me in identifying my talents which is very
unique from others and perfect it.
Engagement with others. This is how I interact with friends, neighbour and also the
elderly within the community.in pursuing the research work we were allocated as a group, as
a leader, I was to engage every member of the group so as to realize maximum participation
in the group and to give every member an equal chance in explaining their views towards the
research. By evaluating my engagement skills, the group was able to emerge the best with
every member felt recognized which as a leader I was awarded a trophy for leading the best
group.
Heinisch & Mazzoleni (2016), they describe humans to be a creature with set life
accomplishment which he will devote his effort and time in the accomplishment of their set
goals (pg.34). Such accomplishment vary with the persons depending on their perspective on
life hence one has to know his accomplish which will drive him into making better life
decisions.
My set goals and objectives were to better my academics performance. This was a goal I
had to accomplish hence it helped me to devote more effort to my studies which will improve
my performance and grades at school.
In discovering my strengths, thus according to (Williams-Siegfredsen, 2017, pg. 234), he
argued that people are gifted with different talents which in evaluation and understanding
people contributes to their strengths in their daily lives. When I discovered my talent as the
best footballer in the school, it motivated me to practice daily and doing morning jog every
day so as to strengthen my bones and also it helped to better my skills in playing. Due to my
talent, I was able to get a sponsorship from a local football club which by now is paying my
tuition fees which were a problem for my parents. (Simpson & Horberry ,2018,pg.78.)

Conclusion
Since I evaluated myself and got to know the weakness and strengths I have, it has better
my relation and engagement with people and friend both at school and home since I can
control my emotions and feeling, lead a group and better my engagement with members of
the society.
