INTRODUCTION
It is very essential in an organization to have a well managed workforce so that the
objectives of the organization can be met from time to time. This factor is going to help the
organization have a higher profit margins and strong reputation in the market. National Health
Service is non profitable organization which is functioning to make the patient’s life be improved
and healthy. There are more than 1.4 million employees who have volunteered to work with this
organization. The report is going to consist of operational context, theories and recommendations
for leadership and management, training and development and talent management in the
organization.
Leadership and management
The organization is not being able to have a strong leadership in the organization which is
a big disadvantage for the company. The leaders get in a better sense of direction in the
organization but the behaviour of the leaders in the organization is not good which is why the
organization is not being able to function effectively. Leaders and managers play a very
important role in a company which is that the managers after consulting the leader have to make
decisions for the organization so that the objectives and aims of the company can be met on time.
It is very important for National Health Service to achieve their goals so that there is a better
functioning of the company (Hayes, 2018). The leaders of the organization are not being able to
handle so many employees and there is a cultural difference also which is making the operations
and productivity of the employees reduce in NHS which has to be maintained because the
organization cannot make errors. The health is in the hands of the organization which is why it is
very important that the organization is giving their best in the organization.
The leaders of the organization will have to use path goal theory to make the organization
have a better target achieving in the market. This is a very important factor for the company so
that the organization can have a better functioning. Leaders have to make sure that the employees
who are working with NHS are giving their best and are motivated for providing the patients
