INTRODUCTION
Employee management is one of the most important part while performing as the human
resource management which need to be performed by each and all types of organisation. In this
report there is the discussion about the Easy jet where it is known as the British airline company
where it is having the low cost services while providing its services in about 30 countries where
there are more than 1000 routes. This report includes the discussion about the leadership along
with management role in company, various process of talent management and there is discussion
about the way through which training and development need to be carried out in the organisation
(Ashdown 2018).
TASK 1
Leadership and management
Leadership is the ability which is there can help in getting influence people to make the
job done in the significant time along with able to guide their followers and other members in an
organisation to achieve the particular goal. Leaders must insures about their team member that
they are working on a common goal. This is the one where they need to influence their people to
do the work in the productive manner to get the positive result. Here, Easy jet need to have a
good leader which is able to lead the team in the effective manner which should be able to have
the quality to influence the employee or their team member which is regarding the short term
goal for which the team is established.
Management is the one which refers to the administrative functions which are there need
to perform in the company. This is related with planning of better performance, organising
different resources, leading people along with controlling the activities and the performances.
These are some of the functions which are there need to be performed in each and every
company by the managers (Fusco 2016). Here, in the Easy jet they need to have such manager
which are able to manage many things with the right way and should able to get all the activities
at the right time because in this business perfection in activities and the time management have
the greatest value for the company.
Traits of leader- There are some of the traits which need to be in the leaders to have the
better performance which is like integrity, good communication skills, good listening,

confidence, accountability along with empowerment ability which is related with the other
members of team.
Traits of managers- There are many traits which should be there in the managers where
some of them are like having vision and able to communicate it, being autonomous along with
responsible, decision making ability, having empathy, having time management ability, better
communication skills etc (Joyce 2016).
Leadership style- This is the one which is able to define the behave when leading. This
style includes different types of leadership style which is demographic leadership, autocratic
leadership, strategic leadership, transactional leadership, bureaucratic leadership and many more.
All these are having different qualities which are able to help the leaders to perform different
task in different ways. The company Easy jet need to use the democratic style which is having
the quality to consider the views of their subordinates which can help in contribution towards in
each of the decision which need to taken by the leaders in this company.
Merits along with demerits of leadership style which is adopted- There are different
merits and demerits which are there such as there is consideration of the view of their
subordinates which gives them an opportunity share the view and suggestions which can help in
the improvement of the Easy jet functions (Kamphuis 2020). Each and every individual have
their own views and opinion which can leads to high level of conflicts among the workers of the
company. Which is ultimately reduces the productivity of the company.
Suggestion and recommendations- It is suggested that Easy jet should use the
democratic leadership style which is there able to built the trust in their employees that they are
having the value and contribution in company which is able to make them loyal. It is
recommended that company should use any of the style where they need to have according to the
requirement of company along with different traits of their employees.
TASK 2
Training and development
This is one of the most important function of HR which is there can help in improving the
performance of the employees along with new members. This is the one which is able to help in
increasing the productivity along with quality of the job performance.

Employee Performance- This is the one which is there measured the performance of the
employee which are there working to evaluate their work for the purpose of appraisal and their
ability (Thomas 2019).
Tools used for measuring employees performance- There are different tolls which can
be use by the company to evaluate the performance of each and every employee where some of
them are like 360 degree feedback, management by objective productivity test and many more.
Such are some of the methods which are there used by the employers for evaluate the employee
performance.
Responsibility of HR for training and development
Honey and Mumford learning style theory- This is one of the learning style which is
developed by the Peter Honey along with Alan Mumford. They identified some of the learning
types which are Activist, Reflector, Pragmatist and Theorist which are sued to seek out of
opportunities for learning along with use of such style. Here, the company Easy jet need to apply
such learning theory which can be helpful for the company to learn many things to their
employee along with provide different opportunities (Allan and et. al., 2018).
Smart objectives- In context to reduce the company employee turnover which is by 10%
from the last quarter there is the objective which is there a specific along with having the
numerical values which is there set. In the upcoming quarter there are some of the policies which
are there to come which can be favour in employees of the company which is going to impact
positively in the mindset of Easy jet employees and help in getting more trust about the company
along with loyalty.

Talent management
It is duty and responsibility of human resource department in order to achieving
organisation goal and objectives. It includes HR department plays vital role which refers to they
are effective and efficiently managing employees due to they are effectively and efficiently
performing business activity. It is process which refers to HR manager conducting various
activity in order to smoothly run the business operations. It includes various factors which are
discussed below (Too and et. al., 2020).

Internal factors- It involves various component such as inside the organisation in order
to influence by top level management so on that basis considered various measures as well as
they are impact on talent management of organisation. In relevance of Easy Jet, it includes HR
department providing training for their staff in order to retain talent employees for longer period
of time and improving the performance which are adding value in the organisation day by day
(Lockett and et. al., 2017).
External factors- It includes various tools and techniques because environment changes
very fast because involve various factors such as political, social, economical and many others. It
includes employees working effectively and efficiently in order to achieving their career goal as
well as beneficial for organisation.
Importance of talent management- Talent management is important for an organisation because
without that organisation cannot attained their goals and objectives. It is essential for each and
every business model in order to gaining competitive advantages. It involves they are providing
various training programmes for employees in order to enhancing their skills and knowledge in
order to performing effectively and achieving organisation goal and objectives. There are ample
numbers of benefits and important for an organisation which are discussed below.
Attract top talent- Most of the organisation inventing in talent management in order to
developing brand image at market place. It is process which refers to they are recruiting those
staff who are capable and able to performing business functions. In relevance of company, it
includes they are developing strategic talent management which are helps to achieving
organisation goal and objectives (Schein and et. al., 2018).
Continuous coverage of critical roles- Organisation recruiting specialized person in
order to they are playing critical roles due to effectively managing business operations. It is
essential for company because without that they are not performing effectively and efficiently. In

for which they are dappling for.

There is need to focus on the accomplishment along with achievements which have doen
