The problem of absenteeism, high staff turnover and poor levels of staff performance
affects the company. Employee absenteeism means that the employees of the company
frequently remains absent at the work. High staff turnover means that the employees leaving the
organization rate is high and the phenomenon is common to the organization. Poor levels of staff
performance means that the staff at company is not efficient affecting the overall productivity of
the firm (Ma and Ye, 2019). These problems creates the following issues with the organization:
Low productivity: employee absenteeism, high staff turnover and low staff performance
affects the productivity of the company.
High costs: staff turnover rates being high means that the company requires to appoint new
staff members in place of the left members. This is done by recruitment and selection
process followed by the training and development processes. Carrying out these processes
results in increasing costs and time consumption of the company.
Employee Morale: With more number of staff members leaving the organization the morale
of the existing employees suffers a lot making them re considering their decision to work
with the organization.

individual during his life time in certain stages. Theory is based on the assumption that an
individual after fulfilling the need in the lower level of the hierarchy will move further to satisfy
the needs in the higher level of the hierarchy (Feng, Hardin III and Wu, 2022). Company can use
this theory for recognizing and fulfilling the needs of the employees for their retention and
increased productivity.
Communication: The company should establish the certain channels or mediums using which the
employees can effectively communicate their grievances to the company. Resolving the
grievances of the employee at the initial stages can help the company to boost the motivation of
the employee for its longer and productive stay with the company.

Control implies positive impact over the motivation of employees working within the
organization. Through effective control on regular basis at essential steps of the company assures
that employees that the efforts made by them are on right track. Control evaluates the activities
within the organization. Evaluation of activities or processes within the organization ensures that
the work in the organization is going on properly. If the work or processes are not on right track
meaning if there is something that is deviating the potential results of the processes from the
desired results gets highlighted. The deviations due to any fault in the process can be detected

achieve the excellent performances related to tasks if all the members are fully trained. By this it
used to motivate and challenge the employees in order to do work. This is one of the best model
of the leadership that helps the company to grow and gain the revenue. The functional theories
are basically developed by having the successful leaders by identifying the actions and
behaviours of the members.
