INTRODUCTION
Every company have lots of people involve in their business activities they are the one
which helps the business to achieve the future growth. Employees are the key which helps to
make the business more profitable by their effective and efficient performance in the business
activities. This report determines the people in the business of Johnsons of Whixley which is the
largest company of nursery in the Europe. There is the evaluation of different ways which is used
by the company to motivate their employees. Different roles of the leader are explained under
this file. There is the evaluation of relation between the culture and structure of the company
which is very essential to reach the successful growth. Johnsons of Whixley uses various
strategies of motivation so that they could inspire and encourage their workforce which helps to
increase the profits and sales of the company and also make the good and effective image of the
business in the minds of the customer.
QUESTION 1
Roles of leadership within organization.
Leadership is the ability to manage different people in group to achieve the common goals with
help of different approaches which help to influence them and increase the willingness to work.
In the business of the Johnsons of Whixley which motivates, directs and guides the people
working in the organisation so that they work effectively to accomplish the objectives. Some
roles of leader are explained below:
Strategist: According to this role, the leader makes the effective plan for the business so
that the workers will work as per the plan and reach to the goals (Ahmed, Siantonas and
Siantonas, 2017) By making the effective plan, the leader always encourages to their
subordinates that the plan will achieve their personal need also in respect with the organisational
needs.
Communicator: By communication the ideas and opinion with the people working in the
business of the Johnsons of Whixley the leader leads the working of the employees towards the
needs and wants of the business. This is the important role which is played by the leader which
reduces the confusion between the working. Leader of the Johnsons of Whixley have very
effective and efficient skills of communication which makes their employees more productive.
Innovator: The effective leader always tries to develop the new and innovative ideas for
the business which makes the good image of the company in front of the customer. By making

the activities of the business innovative and attractive, organisation gain the benefits from the
competitors of the company in the current and future condition of the market.
Decision maker: To engage the employees, leaders of Johnsons of Whixley play the role
of the decision maker so that they will take effective and appropriate decision in the business
which makes the better workforce. Leaders also take the decision which is related to how they
apply the different strategies of motivation which motivates the employees towards the needs
and wants of the company (Al Rahbi, Khalid and Khan, 2017). They also involve their workers
in the process of decision-making so that they share their ideas and opinion and feels that they
have the value in the company.
Listener: In the working condition of the Johnsons of Whixley, the leader plays the role
of the active listener. By listening to each and every aspects of the people in the company will
creates the good and effective image of the leader and increases the trust in the employees.
Active listening of the leader will also solve the conflicts and problem between the employees
which creates the good working environment of the business.
Facilitator: The leader will provide the various facilities to the employees which make
the business activities easy and employees will become focused in achieving the future goals of
the business. Different facilities will make work easy for the employees and leads the business
towards r the success and growth in the future and present conditions of the market.
Motivator: The members of the team gets lots of benefits from the leader which when
they perform effectively in the business of the Johnsons of Whixley. The leader gives rewards
and bonus to their team members when they improving their performance for the
accomplishment of the goals and objectives. This is the most important role of the leader which
makes the better workforce in the company.
Coach: Leader have various responsibilities to develop the workforce in the such a
manner that they achieve the target. The develop the skills and knowledge of the employees so
that they will achieve success and growth of the organisation (Andrejczuk and et.al., 2018). The
member of the team gets the positive and negative feedback as per the level of their performance
from the leaders.
Representative: In the business of Johnsons of Whixley leader plays role of the
representative. They represent all the seminar, meeting and conference of the organisation which
improve the understanding of the people working in the business.

Supporter: leader is the person who provides support and maintains cooperation
between their subordinates which they become focused in their working. Focused employees will
be contributed effective in the success and growth of the business. By giving full support to the
employees in the most appropriate manner then it will increase the willingness of the work. They
provide support to their team members so that they will achieve the personal goals along with the
goals of the organisational.
Building Morale- leaders of Johnsons of Whixley is also responsible to boost the morale
of their employees by training them and providing them with effective knowledge and skills.
This helps to increase loyalty of employees in the organization with high performance work
force in the peak season and also help to increase the productivity of business organization.
Building Organization's potential- leaders are also responsible to analyse the
challenges faced by the employees in performing their task. Leaders also analyses all the issues
which are faced by employees like stress while in play. Like employees of Johnsons of Whixley
are motivated with the ice bucket lollies and extra cash. With this strategy employees also
increase their potential and also provide better quality of work to achieve the objectives of
organization.
Relationship between the organisational culture and structure during the business changes.
The culture and structure are the one in which the managers and leader implement their
different strategies of changes. This will also state that how the employees will react and
experience to different changes in the organization. When the employees will easily understand
the culture and structure of the company then the changes will more effective and efficient in the
business (Hill and Bartol, 2016). To maintain the organisational structure of Johnsons of
Whixley leader will implement various changes so that all the people working in the business
have to follow them for the achievement. Manager and leader of Johnsons of Whixley work in
effective manner in the existing culture of business so that they make changes effectively in the
present culture. It is not possible for the organisation to implement changes without suitable
integrity and cooperation between its various functional structures. The positive and flexible
work culture of Johnsons of Whixley helps employees to accept changes easily and conveniently.
Contrary to this if organisation does not have flexible culture then it can affect the effectiveness
of organisational focus and motivation level of employees.

enhances the employees to increase their speed of working so that they will be ready for
accepting all the motivational strategies and progressive work to increase potential of the
business. organization structure of firm is not fixed which will help Johnson of Whixley to
implement new and fixed structured to motivate their employees to increase the efficiency and
also help to decease the employees turnovers (Serrat, 2017).
As Employees of company have the stress level while working it will help firm to implement
new strategies for change which will help to reduce the stress and increase healthy working
environment for all employees. Organizational culture provides the support to employees to
understand the new change and accepting it to increase the potential of business organization and
achieve its objectives effectively as change makes the business more innovative and creative.
Due high competitiveness in the market it is very essential for management to understand all
internal and external factors of the company when business makes any kinds of changes.
Johonson of Whixley is successful in adopting new change due to lack of motivation in
employees and lack of proper structure to lever the cultural values of employees as it helped to
understand every aspect of business. Organization structure plays signifiant role in organization
because it helps organization to align department and assigns them job so that organization
enables to lead profitable outcomes (Cheng and Johnson, 2016). Even organization structure
supports management to lead changes according to situation and monitors their performance.
Thus, organizational structure helps company to achieving sustainable growth prolong time in
business market.
As the seasonal structure of business have distracted the employees with their efficiency to
accept the change but due to increase in sales employees are ready to work in seasons which also
helped company to increase its growth by management strategies to provided better opportunities
and effective organizational structure and cultural values. The main goal of the diverse culture is
to lead vast communication and understand each customer objective through different culture.

Europe and need to make their employees work effectively for their success. Company motivate
their employees by providing them fair pay and remuneration to make them effective towards
working and to achieve organization goals and objectives and able to maintain effectiveness of
organizations products and services. Role of leader is to motivate and make them efficient
towards working of organization. Organizations culture affects overall growth of organization
and an individual working in an organization. Effective team help company to achieve goals
more smoothly and maintain organization to develop at a leading level. Different strategies make
their organization successful at a large scale.
