The department of Human Resource plays a significant role while structuring the
framework of an organization. The internal functioning of an organization is managed by the
department of HR in relation to hiring of suitable candidates to managing the whole
environment of the company and contributing towards growth and development of the
organization(Al-Henzab, Tarhini and Obeidat 2018). The employees of the organization are
managed by the department for execution of productive work in order to achieve the goals of
the company. The work structure of employees is organized in such a way that there is
continuous improvement in their performance. Human Resource department plays a major
role in smooth functioning of an organization by enhancing the performance of employees
with timely review of their activities. The complexities of internal functioning of an
organization is managed by such department by executing various functional activities for
development of the company. The main functions of the HR department are in relation to
appointment of suitable and desired candidates, maintenance of safe and healthy work
environment, solving of problems of employees within organization with appropriate training
for delivery of good performance and even providing activities and time for refreshment. The
organization taken in this report is Crystal Travel which is a travel agency with its agent
working in London. This report will cover tools and techniques for improving the
performance of employees within the organization by appointing new manager for Human
Resource department. It will further cover well being of an employee to improve and enhance
their performance within the organization with PESTLE analysis of Crystal Travel.
What tools and techniques will help improve organizational
performance?
An effective and productive functioning of employees is required for smooth
performance of employees within the organization. The industry of Travel requires various
tools, techniques, strategies with brief research for its development. The current generation is
very much elevated with modern tools, techniques and strategies in order to meet the
requirements of customers of travel industry. These modern strategies with tools and
techniques will help in improving the performance of employees within the organization for
its overall development .
The tools and techniques that will help in improving the performance of Crystal Travel are
mentioned below:

Personal development plan: The overall performance of an employee is directed in
accordance to their skills, choice and personal needs which helps in growth and well-
being being of employees as well as organization (Clarke and Scurry 2020). The plan
for personal development focuses on improving the performance of employees with
implementation of appropriate training. An appropriate training of an employee is
very essential for delivery of productive work in order to achieve the goals of
organization. The department of HR focuses on bringing out work with efficiency
from their employees. The skills and performance of an employee can be improved
with efficient training which may help in developing their coverall performance.
Crystal travel should infuse such techniques for development of organization in order
to grow in travel industry (Darvishmotevali and Ali 2020) . The plan of personal
development will improve and enhance the performance of employees within the
organization. It will also serve as a boon for growth in career of employees with
execution of efficient and productive work.
Key performance indicator: This tool helps in identifying the lack in performance of
employees within the organization. The variability in execution of productive work
will be measured with the help of key performance indicator. It will help in
identifying the problems or lack in performance in order to indicate effective solutions
for improvement. The HR department of Crystal Travel should shift its focus on
enhancing the performance of employees with the ability of effective decision
making. The functioning of the organization will be tracked with such tool which will
help in reviewing the objectives of business by focusing on the areas of marketing,
online bookings, feedback of customers and qualitative services. This tool of key
performance indicator will help in achieving the goals and objectives of the
organization by implementing effective measures for growth and development in the

360 degree feedback: This tool helps in evaluating the performance of employees
within the organization in accordance to the duties executed by members of staff. The
department of management, accounts department, employees and ministerial staff
includes the members of staff within organization of Crystal Travel. This technique
help in reviewing the abilities and skills of employees in order to improve their
weakness with enhancement of their strengths. The skills, performance and
capabilities of Crystal Travel employees will be evaluated in order to drive their focus

Travel should adopt productive measures to enhance the performance of employees with the

respect in order to maintain the decorum of organization.
There are various factors that determine the well-being of an employee which includes a safe
and healthy environment, timely intervals for refreshment, neat and clean premises,
recreational activities, rewards in form of bonus, incentives, appraisals, etc. The relationship
of managers and employees should be such that they are able discuss any type problem or
issue arising within the organization and management is able to review and solve such
problems.
The role of employee well-being for improving motivation and performance of employees is
that it helps in enhancing the skills of employees with efficiency in their performance. The
employees are to work with much clear focus and active learning which derives productive

towards the company which serve as a boost for executing productive results. This sense of
feeling belonged to the company also boost the confidence and morale of employees to work
much harder for growth of organization. The aid of motivation serves as a therapy for
personal development of the employees which improves the overall performance of
employees. The well-being of employees in order to improve motivation and performance
can be recognized by giving of rewards which can be in the form of bonuses, increments in
salaries, appraisals for excellent performance. A safe and healthy environment with timely
intervals for recreation helps in improving the physical and mental health of employees for
growth and development of the organization.
