Q.1) Tools and techniques will help improve organisational performance
In order to improve the performance of a company, various techniques and tools are used
by the management of the firm. This process is called the performance management that
involves reporting, managing and evaluating the progress that boosts the performance of
the employees as well as of the company(Daniel, 2019.). As per the case study of BUNI
Travels, various techniques and tools can help to boost the organizational performance in
the company that includes:
1) KPI - Key performance indicators and matrices
KPIs plays a very crucial role and are also an effective tool that evaluates and measures
the organizational performance and also the performance of the employees that helps in
achieving the goals and objectives of the firm. The main function of the KPIs is not only
to measure the performance but also helps in better decision making. It has been observed
that many companies adopt different types of Key performance indicators but do not
experience any change or positive outcomes(Fahy and Moylan, 2019). It is very
important for the company to choose effective KPI Techniques in order to get positive
results that benefit the company. The KPIs are important and can help in improving
performance in BUNI Travel as the company can identify various problems and issues
that were overlooked by the companies through KPI(Haber, and Schryver, 2019). In

addition to this the KPI can provide a clear picture about the company's performance in
future and through this application of the techniques, the company can make effective
decisions in order to meet the goals and objectives, long term sustainability in the market
and also gain competitive advantage.
2) Reward and Recognition
In order to meet the objectives of the company, it is very important to have highly skilled
and capable employees as they are considered as valuable assets that contribute to
achieving the goals of the firm(Kamphorst, and Swank, 2018). On the other hand, it is
also important for the company that the workforce should be motivated as it is the
requirement for achieving the organization's success. It is highly observed in many
companies that employees are not rewarded and valued for good performance which also
affects their further performance in contributing towards the objectives of the company. It
is very important to encourage and motivate the employees so that they feel that their
efforts and hard work is valued by the company(Kim, and et.al, 2018). Therefore the
company should adopt various reward and recognition programs in their strategies that
can contribute in improving the performance in BUNI Travels. The rewards and
recognitions can be in the form of monetary and non monetary.
The managers of the company should reward and praise the employees on
accomplishing the assigned tasks that acts as a motivator and also positively affects the
performance of the employees and they will put more effort for achieving the objectives
of the organization. These forms of recognition may influence other employees to work
harder to achieve the same status. The company should reward the employees for
presenting their ideas and views that have helped the organization in achieving their goals
and objectives.

performance in the company. These techniques helps improve performance in BUNI

development of the employees and makes them competitive in performing the tasks that

programs that will enhance the skills of the employees. In order to ensure organizational
success the management should set both short term and long term objectives and also
consider the performance level of the employees which can benefit the company.
However to ensure the effectiveness of this system, BUNI Travel should ensure that the
appraisal process should be fair and no bias.
4) Personal Development of the Employees
In order to motivate the employees and also to improve their performance, the company
should conduct various training and development programmes. In this process the
personal development programme plays a very important part. Personal development is
defined as an action plan that is created keeping in mind an individual's need and
performance(Luu, 2018). It further continues the development of the goals and future
actions that support personal development. Adopting PDPs in BUNI Travels is important
which can help the company to understand and identify various training and development
needs resulting in formation of the plans in order to meet the needs of the employees.
PDPs help the individuals to set out the actions they want to take in order to achieve their
personal growth that can help in their career.

Employee well-being is considered as the critical element of a favourable and healthy
working environment. Companies that are engaged in promoting well-being make it
easier for the employees to manage their stress level and also focus on maintaining a
positive and healthy work environment. Employee well-being refers to the overall

those strategies by which employees feel that their efforts and hard work are valued by
the company. It results in improving the performance and also motivates the employees
to focus on achieving the goals of the company. It is highly observed by the companies
that healthy and satisfied employees contribute highly to organizational performance. By
this it can be said that employees' well being has an vast impact on the performance of
the company in many ways. Employee well being results in high job performance and
reduces employee turnover, that is employees should be working in a safe and stress free
environment. It should be said that it is very difficult to maintain favourable working
environment in this competitive market various factor leading to organizational and
employee wellbeing includes open communication with colleagues, team work,
flexibility and balance between personal and balance work life. Employees are
