INTRODUCTION
Businesses need human resource management to manage the performance of people in
organisations. It is ongoing and continuous process which help organisation to achieve their
goals. Managing people is very important task as it involves hiring, staffing, training, setting
their salary and incentives (James and et.al., 2020). HR manager have to clarify employees
expectations, provide them solutions for their queries, review their results and provide them
benefits which motivate workforce to perform in desired manner. This report is based on BUNI
travel agent which is based in Bolton. It is a local travel agent which provide services to people
related to travelling. This report includes tools and techniques which improve the performance of
organisation. Role of employee well-being in improving performance and motivation in
organisation is also discussed in this report. At the end of this report, PESTLE analysis is also
carried out for organisation.
MAIN BODY
TASK 1
Tools and techniques which help in improvement of organisational performance.
Employees becomes asset for the organisation if they effectively and efficiently achieve
their personal goals as well as organisational goals (Grover, 2021). Human resource manager
focus on the performance of the organisation and they manage the behaviour of employees at the
workplace. Performance management helps managers to track the performance of employees,
need of extra training and development sessions and need for an appraisal. It maintain quality
and standard of the performance and helps in the growth process of employees. BUNI
implements various tools and techniques to measure the performance of their employees and take
necessary steps to improve them if it is required. Those tools and techniques are mentioned
below:
Performance appraisal: This tool is highly effective and motivates employees very
well. It refers to the appreciation of employees in financial and non financial terms. With
the help of performance appraisal employees can fulfil their own needs as well as
organisational goals. Organisations provide appraisals on the basis of employees
performances on regular basis. This also helps in employee retention which reduces extra

expenses of recruitment and selection. BUNI can offer appraisals to their employees
which improves their performance and enhance their capability to accept the upcoming
challenges willingly.
360 degree feedback: It basically focus on the assessment and evaluation of the
workforce (Armstrong, 2020). It provides clear and detailed report of the performance of
employees in the organisation. Almost all the staff are involved in this process including
colleagues, supervisors, clients and manager. Human resource manager examine all the
negative and positive aspect of each and every employee which generally remains
confidential. It is two way communication which BUNI can use to enhance the
performance of employees. Opinions of employees play vital role because it helps in
identify the need for required training and development.
Personal development plans: This tools helps to identify the needs of development and
training of employees which improves their required skills according to the requirements
of business. Human resource managers prepare reports which include the plans for
individual employee. BUNI tries to focus on employees development which results in
effective and improved performance. Human resource department provide selected skills
to employees according to their potential level.
Reward and recognition: Employees feel highly motivated when organisation gives
them reward and recognition on their achievements. Employees tend to improve their
performance when organisation celebrate their achievements. There are two types of
rewards which are monetary and non monetary. Both are used according to the situation
and requirement of the employees. Various bonuses and increments motivates employees
which improves their performance at workplace. BUNI respect the efforts of their
employees and value their roles and responsibilities. They promote employees which
improves performance of collective workforce.
Embrace flexibility: Employees want some flexibility in their operations and schedule
at their workplace (Brosowsky and et.al., 2020). Flexible and reduced pressure helps in
maintaining the mental stability towards the operation. BUNI offer some of the support
and flexibility like attractive packages, flexible working hours, workplace perks and
benefits which motivate them to perform in desired way. Relaxed mindset results in

their performance.
Find technology solutions: Organisations should implement new and easier technology
tools which provide better solutions to their employees. Some operations are very
complex and dynamic in nature which need advanced technology to deal with them.
BUNI introduced some of the software which make jobs easier and simpler.
Technological advancement help employees to upgrade their knowledge and skill which
results in higher performance.
Training and developments: To improve the performance of employees organisation
should plan particular sessions for training and development (Moraes and et.al., 2020).
This inculcate the required skills and knowledge in the employees which helps in their
personal growth and development along with organisational goals. BUNI can organise
various group meetings and sessions which proves beneficial for their employee's
performance. Training make human resource expert in their respective field.
TASK 2
The role of employee well being in improving motivation and performance.
Employee well being refers to the way in which employee work, their loyalty towards
organisation, their happiness and health at the workplace and their expectations. Positive work
environment is very important to maintain the employee well being in organisation (da Gama,
2022). Managers should built effective teams to accomplish goals and targets which reduces
pressure of individual employees. BUNI focus on maintaining the morale of employees which
results in higher profitability. Healthier workforce and inclusive work culture minimize the
absenteeism and sickness absence in the organisation. HR manager of BUNI should introduced
many activities related to health and well being of employees which improves their mental and
physical health. Employee well being create great impact in improving motivation and
performance is discussed below:
Provide mental support: Organisations should focus on employee's mental health
including their depression, anxiety and stress. Better communication and social
interaction within the organisation help employees to reduce their stress level. Relaxed
mind results in improved performance at the workplace. Positive and open

communication about various problems and queries should be conducted on regular basis
which motivates people to achieve targets (Leisink and et.al., 2021). BUNI tries to
coordinate with each and evey employees to give them mental support.
Built effective teams and groups: Colleagues should interact with each other about
various professional topics which results in maintaining positive bond among them
(Manucci, 2021). Workplace friendships results in improved productivity and employees
enjoy their work more then the earlier. Bonding increases interdependence between
employees which enhance their productivity. BUNI should start group projects which
helps in better coordination among employees. Positive group environment affect the
well being of employees which motivates them to achieve more.
Improves business reputation: Employee's well being helps organisation to built their
reputation in market. Satisfied workforce possess high capability to achieve desired tasks.
Motivated and healthy workforce creates strategic plans and procedures which help them
in maintaining profitability of organisation. Employees of BUNI introduced new ways
which help them in acquiring larger market share in effective manner.
Employee engagement: Less employee turnover helps organisation in reducing the cost
of recruiting and hiring new employees (Shackleton-Jones, 2019). Employee well being
helps in retention for longer period which is beneficial for organisation. Employees who
engage themselves in the organisation tend to become more successful. They feel more
loyal towards organisation which help them in performing operations with better abilities.
BUNI provide various perks and benefits to their employees which motivates them to
work harder for organisation.
Create balance for work life: People in professional job experience less flexibility in
their life. Employees feel stress and face challenges in maintaining balance between

the decorum in organisation. Positive work environment creates peace and reduce mental
stress, depression and anxiety of employees. Managers should create rules and

plays important role in the employee well being which should be analysed on regular
basis. Employees of BUNI try to communicate with each other which solves issue on
their personal levels.
Focus on feedbacks: Managers should try to resolve conflicts and provide solutions
which proves beneficial for employees (Templer, 2018). They should conduct face to
face communication session with individual employee to know their actual position and
problems. This motivates employees and boost their morale which results in improved
performance. BUNI should plan and conduct basic surveys which help them in
understanding the problems which are faced by their employees.
Health related policies: Organisations should offer sick leaves which should be utilised
by employees during their unwell conditions. They can provide working hour flexibility
and work from home opportunities to their employees who are facing any health issue.
This can contribute in maintaining positive well being of employees which motivates
them. BUNI can offer work from home facility to their employees which reduces
absenteeism and improves their efficiency.

CONCLUSION
From the above report it is concluded that, human resource behaviour should be managed
properly to maintain the quality of performance. Human resource managers should focus on the
needs and requirements of the employees which help them in enhancement of performance.
Organisations should design policies and procedures which can motivate the workforce to
achieve business goals. Every business should give respect to their employees and provide
rewards and recognition to them. Motivation helps employee to built trust and loyalty towards
organisation. This report included tools and techniques which improve the performance of
organisation in effective and efficient manner. The role of well being in improving motivation
