Selection Criteria
1. Enjoys being creative, willing to take initiative and embrace new ideas.
Creativity has been a critical aspect of my character at both school and college level.
While I was in college, I used to take part in various competitions which were related to various
aspects of the business. These aspects included various fields like marketing, entrepreneurship,
product development and selling. These components require a tint of creativity in order to make
it unique. I was able to win various competitions and stood first in most of them.
The activities comprised of application of new and innovative ideas to make new
products, sell them to the clients and solve strategic issues of the business environment. The
outcome of the given events was that the skills got enriched and I was able to gain extensive
knowledge about the real problems faced by the business. My internship as a marketing
executive also helped me in applying my creativity successfully.
During my graduation days, I worked as a web advisor for an eminent company whereby
I was asked to provide solutions to various small businesses that were facing problems with
respect to the different fields in their business domain. Hence, this had proved to be a great
learning experience for me as I was able to get firsthand knowledge.
Therefore, I am capable of taking initiative and embracing new ideas for the success of
the organization.
2. Proven ability to collaborate and achieve goals within a diverse team environment.
In my experience as a class representative during my master’s level, I have efficient goal

members in my team belonged to varied backgrounds and cultures. To generate a connection
among them, I used to make it a point to conduct regular team outings which contributed to

One distinct prove of this ability is when I participated in a business plan program in
college for which I had to assemble a team of five members. My team members were of different
backgrounds and took the initiative to combine their efforts and contribute to the success of the
team. We put in all our hard efforts with the help of collaboration and critical discussions. This
bought out positive results for our team and we were able to succeed in our given goal. Our team
placed second all over and we received a cash price of $5000.

In my stay at the business school, good communication, negotiation and interpersonal
skills have been the most important aspect of my role as a student. My college had provided me
the opportunity to interact with many people who comprised of meetings with business
advocates, lawyers, engineers, eminent personalities, parents, teachers, fellow seniors and batch
mates. I have also engaged myself in various community projects and partnered with various
members out there and written book on communication as well.
My extensive experience in dealing with various business associates during my different
internships has given me a critical insight into the business world and how communications exist
in the given organization among different colleagues.
For my internship, I was able to bring in various business associates for my company and
hence, I will be able to build good relationships for the organization. During my college, I was

asked by the college associates to gather sponsorship for the different fests that took place. I was
quite successful in this endeavor and was able to gather large amount funds for the college event
and attained recognition from the authorities for the same. I have also done a course on business
communications during my days in schools when I was initially not that comfortable in
communicating with others.
4. Ability to identify problems and apply a logical approach to finding solutions.
Problem solving has been an important component of my various roles during my
education years. While I was in school, I was a member of the school council and was provided
with the responsibility of handling various problems that existed during the normal school
period. Even in college, I was a member of the General Council which they helped me to gain a
wider experience with respect to problems in institutions and organizations.
While I as interning, I dealt with a huge variety of problems. These problems consisted of
both complex as well as easy problems. In order to solve the given problems I was asked to
apply my investigation skills in order to analyze the given situation.
One clear case that occurred during the second week of my internship where a customer
complaint was received and the customer threatened to sue the organization. I reviewed the case
and formed a proper solution mechanism for the customer. After initial discussion with him, I
was able to solve his problem. I was often praised by my seniors for sensitive handling and
speedy resolution of issues.
