INTRODUCTION
Community engagement is basically a strategic process with the help of which many
people and stakeholders get involve and participate in the projects and programs of Charity
organizations. In UK, there are various charity organization projects are conducted to help the
local and international community. In this report, I will discuss about the best practices of
community engagement which was adopted and followed by People Health Trust organization.
In the same context, in this report I will critically compare and analyse the best practice of
People Health Trust with the best practices of community engagement of Enham trust. Actually,
both are the charity organisation which provide funds for local projects for the welfare of the
disabled person (Usman, Bologna and Stamidis, 2019). In this report, I will discuss the working
criteria and principles of community engagement of both the projects in comparison form.
Further, I will discuss the differences of effective communication and active stakeholders
participation in both the projects and also how both the charity organization carry out their
research and community mapping. At last, I will also evaluate and justify the impact analysis of
both the projects on the charity organization and local community.

Best Practices for Community Engagement
People's Health Trust (PHT) is an charity organization which provide funds for arranging
the community engagement program for disabled people. The main purpose of arranging and
providing the funds that I have learnt from my research that they want to improve the well beings
of disabled people. As per my own study, I have found out that PHT charity organization helps
the disabled people in making stronger social connection and accessing new opportunities. For
this they have fund local projects such as art workshop, disability awareness training, shared
work space etc. On the other hand, as per my understanding and experience the best practices of
PHT for community engagement is that they treat all their members and stakeholders equally and
sent private message to protect member database. I have also researched that People's Health
Trust follow all the principle of community engagement such as fairness, justice, empowerment,
participation and self-determination. As per my study, the main theme and practices of the PHT

Best Practices for Community Engagement
People's Health Trust (PHT) is an charity organization which provide funds for arranging

sent private message to protect member database. I have also researched that People's Health
Trust follow all the principle of community engagement such as fairness, justice, empowerment,
participation and self-determination. As per my study, the main theme and practices of the PHT

is accessibility, best customer service, disability awareness, family activities and stress
management for disabled families and carers (Kumar and Kumar, 2020). PHT are running
community engagement program on Brighton, Hove, Thurrock, Southern and West Norfolk of
UK.
While on the other hand, Enham Trust is also one of the most leading charity organisation
which work for the benefits of the disabled people same as PHT. But from my experience, I have
found out that Enham Trust hire paid carers for taking care of disabled people while PHT hire
unpaid cares. The Enham trust provide care and support to the disabled people along with the
employment advice and direct payments advice. Both the company work according to their
concern and ideas which make the users happy. People's Health Trust project based on the
development of disabled people while Enham Trust projects put focus on providing job
opportunities to disabled people. Enham Trust operates in all over the UK but PHT have only
few operation in UK (Di Napoli, Dolce and Arcidiacono, 2019). As per my opinion, Enham
Trust have more than 100 years of experience of providing justice to disabled people of UK and
stress free life to their family members. I have also found out that Enham Trust do not participate
with any other charity organization whereas PHT Trust does for the welfare of community. This
is because Enham Trust believes in their own ideas and do not involve any other on their
community engagement programs.
Community Engagement Activities
As per my own experience and learning, People's Health Trust involve effective
communication and stakeholders participation in their community engagement activities. During
my research I have found out that PHT charity organization provide relevant information
regarding the disabled people issues to the UK community. In the same context, I have also
research that PHT uses economic development and direct service model of the community
engagement. I have understand with my project preparation that People's Health Trust
empowered and given resources to the disabled people to tackle with the discrimination and
systematic inequality. PHT charity main purpose is to help the people to live freely whether they
are women, disabled, etc. As per my perspective, PHT uses the Berlo's model of communication
in which they allow both the sender and receiver to convey their message appropriately. I have
also researched that PHT has formed a group of 30 disabled people and their parents which was
management for disabled families and carers (Kumar and Kumar, 2020). PHT are running
community engagement program on Brighton, Hove, Thurrock, Southern and West Norfolk of
UK.
While on the other hand, Enham Trust is also one of the most leading charity organisation
which work for the benefits of the disabled people same as PHT. But from my experience, I have

trained by trained volunteers and local scope coordinators. While preparing my assessment 1, I
have learnt that PHT charity funded by 12 local society lotteries and raise money through Health
Lotteries which are involved in their stakeholders participation (Adhikari, Pell and Cheah, 2020).
While on the other hand, the main focus of Enham Trust is only disabled people and also
work their own by not participating with the other charity organizations. That's why I personally
feel that Enham Trust does not involve effective communication in their community activities. It
is because the effective communication model adopted by the Enham is Aristotle model in which
only speaker or sender plays crucial role and do considered the words of receivers. As per my
learning Enham trust community engagement activities involve the group of trustees and team
executives with the help of which they can help around 8500 disabled individuals in a year to
became independent. For this they provide various independence and choices in housing, care,
work and skill development. From my opinion, they also provide innovative activity and
intensive support service for children and young people with disabilities (Galiatsatos and et.al.,
2020). From my learning and understanding, I have found out that the purpose of both the
charity organization is different because PHT is an independent charity which addresses
health inequality activities across Britain. While on the other hand, Enham Trust is an
disability charity which provide job opportunities to disabled people of UK. This indicate
the difference in the ideas of both the project but their target customers are same.
Research and social media engagement
I have also found out about the each project researching technique and social media
engagement which help me to differentiate between the both. I have found out that, People's
Health Trust uses the online data collection and analysis method in which they prepare
questionnaires for the general people about what they feel and think about disabled people.
While on the other hand, Enham Trust uses the face to face interview and survey technique in
which they take interview of companies whether they prefer to hire the disabled people for their
companies or not. This help me to understand that bot the charity organization work differently
with each other as PHT work for the development of disabled people and Enham work for the
independence of disabled people (Johnston and Lane, 2018). On the other hand, I have also
researched that PHT organisation uses social media platform such as Facebook, Instagram more
and more for the purpose of arranging social awareness, art workshop and other activities via

and more for the purpose of arranging social awareness, art workshop and other activities via

Facebook campaigns. While Enham Trust uses the digital marketing less as they basically
arranges offline survey and interviews with their stakeholders for providing jobs to the disabled
people
As per the opinion of Mbah (2019), digital marketing in the present time is one of the
most crucial strategy for providing best and personalized service to customers. That's why I have
personally recommended to the People's Health Trust charity that they have to involve in social
media to raise more and more funds. For example: People's Health Trust has deliver the social
media workshop in order to raise brand awareness. I have also found out that in PHT
organisation, all the stakeholder and managers collaborate with each other the impact of which
they can able to provide best service to disabled people. While on the other hand, I have
experienced that Enham Trust faces lack of communication and the impact of which they can not
able to carry out community mapping. From the whole analysis, I have understand that PHT is
not able to engage them into social site and Enham is not able proper community mapping. As
per the views of Hoover, Lee and Hamrick (2020), community mapping mains objective is to
collect data on the people, physical structure, organisation and institution which can be utilized
to create a meaningful service project.
Impact analysis and project success measurement
As per my own study, both the charity organisation uses the success measurement criteria
to measure and analyse the impact of their community engagement program on the local
community. I have found out that Enham Trust uses conversion rate to measure the community
engagement such as around 14%. From my opinion this means that only 14 out of the 100 people
have completed the survey regarding the disabled people. The impact of this from my point of
view is that Enham faces lot of difficulty in fulfilling their trust objectives and purpose. I have
also found out that Enham Trust also uses the registration percentage to analyse the impact and
success of their community engagement projects. PHT charity uses this techniques to arrange the
funds from the market and on the other hand Enham uses this techniques to provide job to the
disabled person (Kimmel and et.al., 2019). The success criteria of the both the project are
different and the impact of which they put their focus on their own projects purpose rather than
interfering each other work.

While on the other hand, People's Health Trust uses the social media activity and
customers retention percentage etc. to measure success of the project. I have also researched that
currently PHT community engagement projects have high retention percentage and the impact of
which People's Health Trust is able to arrange more funds as compared to the Enham Trust.
From my point of view the researching technique and success measurement criteria of the PHT is
more better than the Enham Trust because digital marketing and various social media platforms
act as a proof that whether the trust are working for the benefits of the community and disabled
people or not (Henderson and et.al., 2020).
CONCLUSION
In this report, I have concluded my own experience and learning about the community
engagement program. For this, I have concluded my whole experience in the form of
comparative and critical analysis between the community engagement practices of both People's
Health Trust and Enham Trust charity. Further, in this report I have also concluded the
community engagement process and activities followed and managed by both the projects and
trusts on their own side. In the process, I have concluded that PHT arranges workshops and other
activities to provide awareness of the health inequalities among normal and disabled peoples.
While on the other side, Enham Trust provide job independence service to all the young people
with disabilities which make them different from the PHT organization. In the present reflection,
I have also concluded that PHT uses social media and online platform to spread the awareness
while Enham Trust uses offline and survey method for brand awareness.
I have also state in this report that social media engagement of the PHT is quite higher
than the Enham Trust and the impact of which the PHT is enjoying more benefits than other
trust. Basically, I have identified that PHT working criteria and purpose of their community
projects is different than the Enham Trust but both the trust target customer is same i.e., disabled
people. But I have also identified that PHT funded the program for 12 to 65 years people but
Enham Trust provide independence service to only young people. This way I have concluded the
difference between both the charity organization working sequence, research techniques and
community engagement mapping. Basically, I have concluded in this report that PHT uses the
