Indra Nooyi PepsiCo CEO was a fascinating leader with positional power that
illustrated several steps in the creative process. During her leadership, Nooyi developed ideas
that will not only affect the company but also the world. She was able to implement her
ambitious ideas into actions and she effectively transformed the face of the products to be more
influential in the future. She incorporated in her leadership advisers and managers in order to
achieve her ideas and insights. She evaluated the company’s profile to decide what can be
brought together for the good of the company and the world (Polinsky, 2019).
In the preparation step, Nooyi decided to tour the various stores during her personal
time to see how the products are being sold out. She took PepsiCo problem personal when she
found that the product has not been sold out. She believed that the company was not
accomplishing its purposeful mission and also not delivering performance. Therefore, she
decided to develop a growth strategy the Performance with Purpose. This strategy led to the
shifting of the company's focus from fatty drinks and snacks to healthier products with an
objective making health a major pillar in their products. Implementing this strategy she was able
to change corporate spending from junk foods into healthier alternatives. Hence, transforming
the company as it intensified its market which led to increased sales and employed more
people. In conclusion, Nooyi used evaluation, preparation and implementation steps of the
creative process (Lubart, 2018).
