3.1 Research evaluation techniques
Formative technique :
It is tool which is used by supervisors to provide feedbacks to employees or give them
instructions and feedbacks. It finds out the misconceptions during the research any project.
Summative technique : However, summative techniques are focused on the outcomes of
research project. It analyses that what results has come after the completion of research project
(Shyam, Athira and Fernandez, 2017).
These both techniques are used to evaluate in the process of research project. Hotel
Marriott is using summative technique because it focused on the outcomes rather than the factors
