INTRODUCTION
This is defined as the gum infection and can have ability to destroy the jawbone which
can cause an disease because of poor gum (Carrizales-Sepúlveda and et. al., 2018). This is cause
by poor oral hygiene. In this, the early periodontal and their challenges are discussed.
MAIN BODY
Periodontal and early periodontitis
Periodontal disease or gum disease is defined as the infection which is caused by poor
hygiene of teeth. In this infection is initiated through tissue that capture teeth in place. Their is
another cause which is by poor brushing and allow the teeth to gather a plaque. This develop
sticky film of bacteria and cause bleeding gum and if persist for long term cause disease. The
periodontitis can damage the bone and teeth as per their progression. The early periodontitis is
divided into various stage such as infammation and so on (Curtis and et. al., 2020). The early
stage of periodontitis start with receding of gums, or pull away from teeth and small pocket form
between gum and teeth. This pocket contain harm full bacteria. In addition to this, immune
system fight to this bacteria.

Pregnant patient regards with periodontitis and provide education
During pregnancy the hormonal changes are occur in fast mode which have high
oestrogen and progesterone. In this case women are more vulnerable to periodontal disease than
caparison with non pregnant peers. The pregnant women are more acceptable for the poor
maternal and perinatal outputs such as preclampsia, gestational diabetes and foetal growth
restriction and many more. So regular brushing and hygiene required to retaliate this type of
issue in pregnant women.

Challenges in periodontal disease
Good plaque control as well as removal of bacteria, calculus deposits and granulation
tissue by mechanical instrumentation create an effective approach for this but it is also
challenging for major of people in this context (De Morais and et. al., 2018).
CONCLUSION
As per the above discussion, periodontal is a gum infection which have number of
complication in pregnant women and they have several challenges which is associated with
periodontal disease.
