Introduction
Personal development refers to the act of looking inward in order to achieve a purpose
or result specially into the context of pursuit of clarity, passion and purpose in life. Personal
development is bigger than the career development or development at self-level. Personal
development is very important from the personal and professional point of views so its very
necessary to make a proper plan so that results can be achieved within a set period of time.
Personal development basically support in terms of defining the personal vision and life goals
in a clearer manner. When targets have been set for themselves then it becomes easier to
make a proper plan and also work towards those objectives as well. There are basically five
areas of personal development which includes mental, social, emotional, spiritual and
physical level as well. The present report will cover discussion about team contract,
communication, team skill audit and roles and responsibilities as well.
Team Contract
Define team contract:
Team contract basically refers to the agreement between the individual and team
mates about in which manner team will operate and basically a set of conventions that has
been planned into effective manner (Santos and et.al., 2018). Team contract basically
includes certain parameters such as group members names, contact information, expectations
regarding preparation for, assignment of particular tasks, roles and responsibilities along with
due dates.
Its importance:
Team contracts are important because it help team member to work in a collaborative
manner so that they can truly honors each other and return to a sense of aligned purpose when
team has experienced the challenges of working on any project.
Its uses: Team contract has been used which is used to define the expectations of group and
forces people to be explicit about their assumptions. It is basically created before the team
starts working on the project in a collaborative form and also offers the framework for the
discussion of disagreements within the team.

Communication
Importance of communication in establishing effective team (ref)
Communication is very important in terms of building a team because it improves the
employee engagement into positive manner and effective communication also help in terms
of creating bond with each other (Ponizovskiy and et.al., 2020). Communication basically
guides in terms of team formation that which individual is beneficial to include within the
team and which individual cannot be included within the team into positive manner. The
effective communication also helps in terms of bringing transparency within the team and
also at the time of team formation as well.
Preferred Communication methods (e.g., Canvas forum, Messenger, WhatsApp)
The team agreed to use a mixture ways to communicate. The main medium of
communication is via WhatsApp because it is easily accessible. The team agreed to also
communicate via mail when sharing documents and work completed.
There are different kinds of communication methods which include canvas forum, what’s
app and messenger as well. In today's period of time what’s app is the most effective way

of communication. Through what’s app it is easier to share information on the fast pace
manner and it is easier to do video calls in result oriented manner. Canvas forum is also
one of the effective ways of communication which provides an integrated system for the
discussion of class. It also allows both students and instructors to contribute and start to as
many discussions topics are desired. Messenger is also one of the effective way of
communication where the individual has carried the message and is also employed to carry
messages.

Due to covid 19 and different dynamics among the team members such as work, child care,
travel etc, the team agreed to utilize online meeting platforms so as to accommodate
everyone
The team meetings will be conducted online via Teams,
In this pandemic situation, at the organizational level it is very difficult to conduct team
meetings into result oriented manner. According to technological changes and launch of
new apps lead towards the positive development of an organization. So with support of
video conferences, video calls and with support of Zoom apps, the meetings have been
conducted into successful manner (Holtbrügge and et.al., 2015). These meeting can be
conducted on the frequent basis and for any period of time. There is not any requirement of
time bar which is required within these video calls. These video calls can be run for longer
period of time with proper back up of charging, internet connectivity as well. These
meetings have been conducted on the online basis and can easily be conducted while sitting
at home without any kind of disruption.

What a team skill audit: Team skill audit basically refers to the process of measuring
whether the member of staff has the required skills, background, competencies and
knowledge to perform effectively within a specific post.
The importance of a team skill audit: Team skill audit basically help in terms of
determining that the employee still possess the required skills for the particular role
(Zinovyeva and et.al., 2020). Through this parameter it can also be identified about
unidentified skills which basically qualify the employee for a better-suited position.

Ground rules for the team
Due to the different dynamics of people working in a team (e.g. differences in
opinions, skills, experiences,) the ground rules are set. Ground rules for teams are the specific
standards and norms that are helpful for enhancing the performance of the teams or groups
where people have different skills, ideas, opinions, etc. Ground rules are helpful to support
and communicate with the team members and it helps to establish better performance of the
team by standardizing their work processes. Ground rules for team that should be considered
for enhancing their performance are elaborated below:
1. Treating and developing mutual respect among the team members can be helpful
for improving the mutual respect among the groups and promote positive characters
and traits among the members.
2. Communicating openly with each other can help to develop better coordination
among the team members for developing effectiveness and efficiency in their
performance. Communication plays an important part in combining the efforts of
the team members by expressing their ideas, views, opinions, questions and
expectations in open manners.
3. Constructive feedback by the team leaders is also a very effective way to enhance
the performance of the team members by eliminating their mistakes. By
encouraging constructive feedback the team members can be provided with
solutions, suggestions, strategies and ideas for improving their work performance.
4. Treating the coworkers and managers equally in terms of their background,
ethnicity, culture, race, gender, age, etc. can enhance team work. Treating everyone
equally within the team is very helpful for improving the overall performance of the
team fellows.
5. Recognition and acknowledgment to each other's efforts is also helpful to
improve the performance of team members and promote their growth within the

teams. When the team members provide recognition and support to each other for
their exceptional performance, the bonding among them becomes stronger.
6. Addressing conflicts and problem solving is a very important part for improving
the team performance and creating efficiency and effectiveness in the work of the
team members.
7. Increasing time utilization and completion of work on time is very important for
the team members to achieve the targets effectively. It promotes the scheduling,
task division and task priority activities within the team members so that their work
can be accomplished effectively.
8. Celebrating the accomplishments of each other is also important to strive
towards better team performance of the members. The team members feel more
comfortable when they celebrate accomplishments of others and get the same
reward for their effective performance enhanced their overall team performance.
Focusing on the tasks is very important to complete the work within a given deadline.
The team members should focus on tasks assigned to them so that employee motivation and
employee engagement can be improved by providing appropriate accountability for a given
task. These ground rules for the team can be helpful in combining the efforts of team
members to accomplish their works effectively and efficiently.
A reflection on my contribution to the Team Contract
I believe that higher performance refers to the reflection of successful collaboration
and an indicator that our team is performing well by simulating the strength of the team
members effectively and efficiently. For optimizing the individual team members’ strengths I
utilized these rules for improving their performance at higher levels. I utilized
communication skills in a very effective manner for explaining my ideas, feelings, opinions
to others and carefully listening to others for raising questions and queries to make the team
performance effective. I utilized constructive feedback for focusing on improvement of ideas,
behaviors and performance by suggesting better working of the team members. I also
improved the problem solving abilities by identifying the critical problems and conflicts
among the team members so that that can be resolved and team performance can be

improved. I was also involved in the equality practices by treating everyone equally within

Effectiveness can be explained as the utilization of time in optimum ways so that
tasks can be achieved in a given time frame. Effective habits can be explained as the ability
and practices of an individual to complete their work on time and still having enough time for
recreational activities. Effective habits like scheduling of work, arranging life cycles,
eliminating wasteful activities etc. are helpful to complete the task on time and give enough
support to an individual to save time for other activities.
Effective study habits are important because it can help to complete the assignments
on time, prepare for examinations beforehand and save time for other activities. There are
many habits that can positively encourage our studying abilities and provide better results in
the academic career. Time management is among the most important skills that help to
promote the success of a student in their academic life.
The effective study habits are also helpful in improving prolonged professional career
growth because it helps an individual to manage time in better ways and attain their
objectives before the deadlines. The use of time in optimum ways is also helpful for
promoting a successful professional career as it creates a sense of time management among
the students.
