I have experience of leadership and management skills while working in my previous
company. I was working as a junior manager at a multinational company under the manager
of the company who had eight years of experience as a senior Manager. By working under
him I have gained various professional skills and knowledge of the skills that are required to
carry out the leadership and management responsibilities. I have worked for two years for
that company and Improved my communication skills, knowledge of leadership,
Interpersonal skills.
Feelings
I was motivated and felt confident working under the supervision of my manager.
Learned communication skills from the manager by observing how they communicate with
others and how it was effective. Whenever I needed to ask about things they would be ready
to communicate with me and provide proper guidance, similarly they also provided me with
guidance on how to be a good leader. My manager provided me with knowledge about
different leadership styles, Democratic leadership, situational slight leadership etc. These
would be helpful for me to be an effective leader for the organisation in future.
Evolution
Positive thing about my experience and learning was that I was working with a
knowledgeable and experienced Manager who taught me management and leadership skills
that will help me to improve my career and I will be able to be a good leader and manager for
the organisation. these skills will personally help me to develop my career and I can use them
to lead the employees and other skills like interpersonal skills will help me in my personal
life as well. (Sainz, Ferrero and Ugidos., 2019) Unfortunately due to reasons I had to leave
my job after a few years. However, I was able to build on other skills, decision-making ,
Planning, delegation, problem solving and coaching. These skill sets have placed me well to
become a successful leader/manager
Analysis
Most of the skills I learnt are related to management and leadership. This will be
helpful for me in my career and I will be able to be a more effective manager and leader
(Pérez, Marín and Tur., 2018). Due to leaving after only a few years I felt I missed out on an
opportunity to learn from an experienced Manager.

working toward the common goals that are set by the leaders and managers of Tesco. It is
necessary for the leaders and managers of Tesco to build an effective team because working
in a team will be more effective for their organisation and they can achieve the goals and
