Introduction
Personal information development helps out all the rights for the individual‘s
behaviour and performance through which they can able to target on the goals and
objectives with all the abilities through which the skill can be performed. It helps how
to maintain the achievable goals and also frame of the organisational methods. The
personal development provides the individuals a confident in all the natures and
working facilities and also implement the learning areas through which the
employability can be obtained. Whereas professional development attributes to all the
organisational goals and objectives. All such methods helps how to guide the person
in a better manner or also make them to learn the skills through which they can
implement success and create a Clear vision. This report will cover the personal and
professional development and with that all the important short-term, medium-term
and long-term goals for the more it will also covered the important areas for self-
development with the training sessions and all the development and skills process
(Delaney and et.al., 2020). Through both the developments the person gains the
knowledge and new skills are developed which helps in improving mental and social
skills.
1. Definition of the concept of personal and professional
development
Personal and professional development is mainly the method which helps out all the
students and the individuals to outdo their performance in the organisation and also to
maintain the adaptive skills in their learning behaviour and outcome it provides a gaining
knowledge and also the past development in all the fields through which they can improve
their learning habit and also adapt proper human capability with enhancing their self
awareness and also the status in the society. As all the individual can learn how to maintain
all their life in a proper methods through which they can enhance their skills by personally
gaining and developing the techniques and also obtain a proper positive approach for
supporting the methods in programming areas. The personal development implements awful
method through which a proper benefits can be taken and all these important skills can be
interpreted it through which the leadership, adaptability, communication can be framed out.

also it helps out a frame in ongoing future medium-term goals and long-term goals as it

important examples of short-term goals are as follows:
New language: as it can be come under short-term goals as this is mainly the method that can
be learned through developing any new skills and also it helps how to raise a conference in
person in communicating in better manner and also to learn and effective language.
Communication skill: this is mainly the skill that can help out to implement better decision
practises and also fame out to provide and avoid all the concepts in all the areas it has all to
boost the confidence in the managers and all the fascinating areas and also frame out to work
in various fields.
Professional certification: this mainly in course activities in which all the better jobs in the
company is can be analysed and a proper certification course can be done it many provide a
proper resume for the person for getting a proper websites and joining in the organisation. All
the individual can gain the advancement by taking diploma courses and also providing a
proper certification this helps out to gain the future it was my goals. (Vansteenkiste and et.al.,

After achieving the short period of time goals, the individual works for this goal
which is helps in developing the long term goals. It takes a little more time to achieve it and
takes around 3-5 years. The gaps are defined between the short and long which is associated
with the daily activities.
The importance of mid-term goal is essential because it delivers the roadmap to the
individual for the particular year to achieve aligned with the long term goals. The medium
term goals help in providing the reflection as many times the path is changed. The evaluation
process is necessary to get the knowledge of goals are on correct track or not. It takes
S.M.A.R.T technique which may be used to plan in setting the better targets that includes
specific, measurable, achievable, reliable and time frame. (Koh and et.al., 2017).
Examples-1 job role- after taking a job in the multinational organization, the next goal for this
range is to achieve the higher position which can be accomplished by inculcating better
knowledge and skills for around 1 year..

collected by way of savings from salary.
3. Appraisal- An individual is expected to get the hike in its salary of 10-15% after working
for a long period of time in the organization which requires lot of experience and the

The long-term goal refers to a person that is eager to accomplish something in future
which requires the consistent planning. In this, the company mission, vision and objectives

skills and knowledge. The long terms became easy to attain as short & mid-term goals are
achieved. These are set for the purpose of achieving profits by company. Values provide the
principle and beliefs that are necessary in the development of person personally so that it can

achieve its targets. The long terms goals are set for the longer time period of having more
than five years. In the setting of the long-term goal evaluation is taken for the desired action
and feedback to reach the goal. (Maher and et.al., 2017).
Examples- 1 purchasing the vehicle- it is when the individual desires to make the purchase of
the car which is of the good brand and high mileage can be accomplished after achieving the
goals which are of medium period of time. It takes around 3-4 years.
2. Mentor- I want to become the professor so that I can motivate and encourage students for
next 7-8 years. I must require advice, communication and support from people to achieve
this.
3. Business- I want to establish the business of the chocolate which is of hand made that will
consist of many flavors. (Maher and et.al., 2017).

Development Plan
A personal development plan is defined as the written document which involves the

strength and flaws for the improvement. It develops the plan for the future that involves
reflection, consciousness and the strategies for beliefs. Personal developmental plan
comprises of the statement of desire, knowledge and training and stages that indicates the
plans that are to be realized, career and lifestyle priorities. The risks and opportunities are
analyzed with the substitute plans in personal development. The bench mark is used to make
the decisions easy for the purposeful efforts. It includes the several elements of vision, clear
standard different from current standard, clear understanding of skills, level of priorities, and
detailed clue of determine where a person is now and where it wants to in future in the
