Task One:
Definition of the concept of personal and professional development
It can be defined as a process under which the development of individual and organisation
takes place in order to gaining all the opportunities and meeting the desired goals and
objectives (Vondracek and et. al., 2019). It include the development of knowledge and skills
so that they can achieve the organisational goals and targets.
Description and discussion of the value of short term goals
identifying at least 3 personal examples
Short Tem goals are developed for less than 6 months of time period. These goals are made
for the quick development of skills so that the result can be effective in a short period of time
(Mulder, M. ed., 2017). For Example:
 Creative Skills
 Decision making skills
 Communication skills

identifying at least 3 personal examples
Medium term goals are made for more than 1 year and less than 5 years of time period. These
goals exist between the short and long term goals. It works as a step of fulfilling the long
term desires. It helps in the growth of career (DiPaola, M. and Wagner, C.A., 2018)
(Richmond and et. al., 2017). For Example:

It refers to the outline and guidelines which aims to the growth of personal abilities of
individual. It is drawn up by analysing the gap of knowledge, skills and experience (Forrest,
T., 2019). For the purpose of developing skills and knowledge, this act as a well structured
plan with timelines.

Description and discussion of how ‘Author, Purpose, Reliability
and Relevance’ affect the use of a source
The use of various sources make the writing more authentic. It is well known that all the
informations are not enough for meeting the purpose of writing. Hence it is necessary to
check the reliability, purpose and relevancy of sources for making report reliable (Ren, X.
and Zhang, Z., 2020). CRAAP analysis has been done for the purpose of evaluating purpose,
reliability and relevance which stands for Currency, accuracy, relevancy, purpose and
authority.
