INTRODUCTION
Individual behavior is referred to the way an individual behave at workplace. Behavior
plan can be defined as school based document which is designed to help people or students who
have suffered harm or they are at high risk of injury. A behavior plan is designed in order to
make sure that staff as well as students feel valued, safe and connected to their school
community. Personal behavior plan helps an individual in dealing with the various behavioral
problems.
Present report will include personal management plan of classroom management. It will
have focus on identifying fundamental rights, responsibilities and needs of both teachers as well
as students. Study will also emphasize on analyzing the way children learn. It will highlight the
causes of inappropriate behavior and also the role of teachers in guiding the behavior of students.
Few strategies will be suggested in the assignment which will help in developing an effective
classroom.
TASK
Formulating the personal plan for classroom management
I perceive that classroom management is important component in any educational setting. I
have notice that student feel comfortable and learn quickly in safe environment. This does not
mean that behavior problems cannot arise. My purpose behind making the classroom plan to
inspire students to develop learning attitudes. The other objective of this plan is to prevent
behavioral problems.
Philosophical statement
I will take all efforts in making the environment of classroom safe. I have planned
various activities in order to inspire students to learn. I have decided that initially I will try to
develop the understanding about my students for knowing them I will facilitate continuous
communication with school children. My aim will be to make students feel comfortable with
other people. I will also promote group work. I intend to motivate all students to participate in
classroom activities, so that they could gain knowledge as well as learn about new things. I
perceive that if students feel they are involved in the workings of the classroom, they will be
more motivated to engage in the class and in turn, will learn more.

Room arrangement:
I have planned to decorate classroom in following ways, I have decided that vibrant color
will be used for painting walls, natural lighting from the windows. There will be comfortable
benches and round tables. There will be map, pictures of famous people, art design on walls. I
believe that this will create learning atmosphere in the classroom. Students will be provided with
colorful pens and journals to record their lessons. I perceive that interior decorations of
classroom have significant influence on school children learning. I also think that classroom
designing by me will help me in encouraging student to develop critical thinking.
I have planned circle shapes for tables, as it will create environment for discussion and
will inspire people to have conversations with others. The other reason for designing round table
is that no single student will sit behind or at the side of the classroom (Chaplain, 2017).
I have planned to put poster or maps on walls, as I believe that it will encourage students
to develop critical thinking. I have designed bookshelves in the corner of classroom, so that
students can easily have access to educational resources. There is also computer lap in the school
where student can learn technology as well as social studies by integrating the lessons.
Classroom rules
I perceive that if teachers and students respect each other then there is no need of
establishing rules. I have planned that I will not implement strict rules. I will allow my students
to eat, drink etc. as I perceive that these things do not affect learning. I have decided that I will
try to create a class constitution if behavior of the student in class is not good. I have an idea that
I will involve student in establishing as well as implementing rules for themselves. I will give
notes in diaries of students and will ask them to get signed by their parents, as through this
activity I can inform parents about the activities which are taking place in the classroom. In
addition to this, by adopting this strategy I can involve parents in the process of accomplishing
goals. I have also planned that I will allow students to interact with each other, so this will enable
them to gain knowledge and learn new things.
If in case, some students have negative attitude, then in such situation I will ask them to
talk to me after the class, I will make that specific student understand about the way their attitude
effecting the whole environment, I will make them aware about the consequences of
inappropriate behavior. If still students misbehave, I will call their parents and inform them about
the same.

Classroom procedures
Role of teacher is to ensure that student remain engaged in writing. If any of student
having trouble in learning or doing homework, Responsibility of teacher is that to have
conference or meeting with such child to get them on track.
Positive reinforcement
I have decided that I will have equal focus on activities as well as behavior of all
students. I planned that I will send regular feedback to students’ parents. As I believe that this
strategy will help me in promoting good behavior. By using feedback strategy, I can involve
parents in the classroom or student learning. I want my school students to become successful
learner. I have decided that I will have focus on improvement rather than final results.

Need of students
Leadership
Learning
Analysing the way children learn
This is the fact that each and every child has unique learning capabilities as well as
capacity. There might be some children who learn by observing things., while few might gain
knowledge by executing tasks. Some students might prefer to learn things while playing or
listening. It is very much important for teacher to develop understanding about the learning
capacity or style of each student (Jolstead, Caldarella and Kamps, 2017). I perceive that children
will learn more when they will have strong, supportive as well as nutritive relationship with staff
members or teachers in school.
Perceptions about the functions of school
I believe that following are the functions of school these are cultural innovation,
socialization. According to other people function of school is to provide education to students
and make them learn about new things. Some author as well as theorist has divided school
functions into two parts these are latent and manifest. According to theorist and various authors
socialization and cultural transmission is manifest school functions (Ennis, Menzies and Owens,
2018). Function of school staff is to help students in developing the social skills which are
required for interacting with other people in the society. For instance, parents whose children are
attending elementary school, parents expect their children to learn new information.
In addition to the socialization, the important function of school is the transmission of
cultural norms.
Latent is a function which is performed by schools, but most of the people are not aware
about this. For instance, educational institutions or schools put all people or students belonging
to similar age as well as backgrounds.

Identifying the causes of inappropriate behaviour
There might be several causes of misbehaviour by student in classroom these are:
Seeking attention: Some students might misbehave in order to get attention from teachers.
Desire for power: School student might misbehave for getting the power. They might want to
have control on classroom.
Physiological factors: Students who misbehave might be suffering from physiological or mental
problems.
Role of teacher in Guiding student behaviour
Teacher plays significant role in guiding the attitude of student and encouraging them to
behave in positive manner. Tutor or coach is a person who can teach children to act or react in
particular situation. It is the duty of teacher to support students in changing their behaviour
(Aelterman, Vansteenkiste and Haerens, 2018). Duty of teacher is to provide students with
proper education and enables them to develop the understanding about the negative
consequences of inappropriate behaviour.
THEORETICAL BASE
Theories
Theories of actions –This theory states that when tutor or teacher have learning intensions
and they utilise an appropriate technique, have strong narrative about teaching then in such case
students are more secure about their learning as well as achievements. In simple words, this
hypothesis states that teacher should be very clear about learning intention in order to engage
more student and make them feel more secure in context of learning. It also states that pace is
very much important to keep the lesson live. The theorist recommends that Teacher should set
challenging learning tasks (McGee and Lin, 2017). As per the view of theorist, learning can be
progressive, precise for student only when learning task are challenging, purposeful, clearly
defined. It is required by teacher to give regular feedback related to activities performed by
students. As this strategy will assist teacher in encouraging students to develop positive
behaviour. According to this theory feedback have direct as well as significant influence on
achievement of students.
The other suggestion given in hypothesis is that it is important for teacher to use higher
order questioning, as this strategy will assist in learning interest in students. This strategy also

enables student to get deeper understanding about topic. It also enables teacher to know the
understanding level of students and helps in analysing knowledge gained by them (Apple, 2017).
As per the theories of actions, when peer assessment and assessment for learning are
consistently utilized, student engagement, learning and achievement accelerates. An action word
in the theory indicates performance to be demonstrated (Duchesne and McMaugh, 2018). This
hypothesis has suggested strategy that improvement in culture of classroom will encourage
interactions. It is required by teacher to use assessment tools for measuring performance of all
students. This theory also dictates that varied or different approaches can be utilized by tutor for
assessing understanding level of an individual student. It is very much important for teacher to
gain knowledge about the way student learn.
RECOMMENDED PRACTICES
Strategies for establishing effective classroom
There are several strategies which can be adopted by teacher for stablishing an effective
classroom these are:
Formulating clear plan for learning activities: It is very much important for teacher to set
clear goals. The teachers should communicate the target which they have set for particular day. It
is very important to involve all the students in activities, as this will help in developing an
effective classroom. I believe that it is the duty of teacher to plan curriculum activities, as this
strategy will assist teacher in motivating all students to learn.
Document rules: It is considered to be as an essential activity in order to establish an effective
classroom. Teachers can print as well as distribute list of rules to all students.
Offering praise: This is considered to be as an effective strategy for promoting positive
behaviour in educational or classroom setting (Atkins,2018). Praising the student for their
behaviour encourage other people to have positive attitude. In addition to this, it can be an
appropriate strategy for improving a student’s self-esteem, inspiring the class.
Behavioural Reinforcement and motivational techniques: This strategy can be used by
teacher for encouraging students to have positive attitude and inspiring them to learn.
Continuous and an effective communication: In order to make classroom effective, it is
required by teachers to facilitate effective and continuous interactions with students. This
strategy will assist teachers in producing good results (Duchesne and McMaugh, 2018).

Strategies for preventing disruptive behaviour from occurring
There are various strategies which can be adopted by teachers for preventing the
disruptive behaviour of student from occurrence. The most common strategy is to be prepared. It
is required by teacher to be sure about the way the lesson prepared by them for teaching will
progress. This strategy will assist students in developing their concentration on learning (Besag,
2017). It will also support teacher in eliminating or minimising the incidents of student
disruptions.
Establishment of classroom behaviour policy: It is required by teacher to establish as well as
discuss classroom policies with students. School staff should ensure that educational
environment is free from disturbances as well as distractions.

Fostering classroom connections- It is important for teacher to develop strong relationship with
students. As this strategy will make easier for teacher to teach. It will also enable teachers to
know their student personally and help school staff in developing trust among students which is
very much necessary for eliminating disruptive behaviour (Webb, Johnson and Zimmerman,
2017).
Classroom arrangement strategies- Proper classroom arrangement is very much important in
order to reduce the chances of disruptive behaviour in the classroom. It is required by teacher to
ensure that sitting arrangement are organised as well as flexible (Ellis and Tod, 2018).
Establishing clear rules: It is important to establish code of conduct as this will help teacher or
school staff ion controlling the behaviour of students. This strategy will also support school staff
in encouraging student to behave in appropriate manner. Students are required to be provided
with the guidelines, as this will enable them to know the consequences of breaking the rules.
This tactic will help school staff in preventing the occurrence of disruptive behaviour.
Development of positive classroom environment: It is considered to be as the best strategy for
preventing the disruptive behaviour of students in educational setting.
Interview student- Teacher can ask student about the things which distracts them from
learning. Asking student about their favorite subjects or lessons, class activities etc. will assist
teacher in knowing the interest of student and help school staff in eliminating or reducing cases
of student disruptions (Muijs, Reynolds and Teddlie, 2018).
Whole class and individual management strategies
Learning as well as teaching should be embark together. Teaching is the only factor which
can strengthen learning through an active and reciprocal exchange.
Whole class management strategies
Less time is required for preparing the plans or strategies for whole class. The whole class
strategies involve discussions, lectures, demonstration given by teachers, debate etc. There are
various strategies which can be used by teacher or school staff for managing whole class are:
Write group contracts: It is required by teachers to promote group work. Tutor should
support students by providing them guideline for completing work smoothly as well as
effectively. Discussion can be help with student in order to gather the class thoughts (Baker-
Henningham and Walker, 2018).

Built excitement for content: It is important for teacher to ask question in middle of the
lessons, as this strategy will enable them to make learning process interesting.
Give tangible rewards: Giving tangible reward to deserving candidate in front of class
will enable student to feel motivated. Such activity will encourage individual student to increase
their participation in classroom activities (Cook, Thayer and Renshaw, 2018). It will enable
teacher to inspire other people to have positive attitude, as all the students will have good
behavior, it will become easier for teacher to manage class.
Organize parties: Management in school can organize parties for acknowledging student
hard work. As this strategy will enable teacher to motivate such student to have same attitude.

are:
Utilize Education technology which adjusts to each Student-It is required by teacher
to give student a chance to use educational technology which adapts to their needs. There is
several games and platform which utilizes adaptive learning principles which can be used for
detecting the student skills and providing the guidance or instructions to develop abilities which
they lack.
Address the bad behavior Quickly-It is very much crucial for teacher to address the bad
behavior of student before it have negative influence on the whole class. Teacher should not only
address the bad behavior but they need to take quick action, as this strategy will aid in
eliminating or reducing negative feelings.
Consider peer teaching- It is consider to be as an effective strategy for managing
individual student. This strategy can be used by teacher when they feel that their top performing
students have capability to support other school children those who have behavioral issues
(Kramarski and Kohen, 2017). Peer teaching strategies assists students in increasing their
confidence level. It also enables children to improve their interpersonal skills.
