What is one way you have committed to sustainability and what motivate you to adopt this
change?
Sustainability can be described as normative concept that emphasis on intergenerational equity
which include three pillars including economic, environmental and social dimension. It is a
concept which provide guidance to decision of a person for different scale like at global, national
as well as individual consumer level. According to this concept, development should be done in
manner that fulfil present needs of a person without compromising with future needs. I am
committed to sustainability by using recycle and reuse method. Recycling refers to a process of
collection for using discarded and use material process of material in order to make new product.
It can be used in order to reduce waste amount of garbage thrown by people to dustbins that
helps to make environment clean (Aboelmaged, 2021). It also helps to reduce pollution level and
make air fresher for breathing purpose. It is a process which consumer less resources as well as
energy in order to develop new product. It also offers boost to environment and allow individual
to use household things and business waste into new products. In order to adopt recycling, a
person needs to adopt five main stages of recycling which are mentioned below:
 Collection of waste material: It is initial stage of recyclable material in which business
and individual people can collect waste material and can sent it to material recovery
facilities in order to be cleaner, sorted, baled that convert it into raw material. These raw
materials can be sold to processing companies.
 Processing waste: It is another stage in which recyclables are cleaned as well as sorted.
This process can be taken in order to retrieve raw material in order to use it
manufacturing of new products. These recyclables are categorised in different form like
shred, melted, liquefied into remoulded products (Coates and Getzler, 2020)
 Purchasing of recycled product: It is another stage in which recycled product can be
purchased by consumer. After development of recycled products, it can be sold to
consumer. There is increase rise of demand of recycled products among customer and
development of recycled product helps them to meet demand.
There are different ways in which I can motivate people to use this method of sustainability. For
this, some of efforts adopted by a me are mentioned below:

 In order to motivate people, I will equip people with right knowledge. In this, I will tell
people about advantage and disadvantage of using these types of products.
 It this, a person needs to process information that allow them to made decision. For
instance, people can be more influence through stories in compare to statement.
 Implementing recycling program in organisation that allow them to motivate employees
to adopt sustainability.
 Business can also develop green team in which team is focusing on making efforts
towards go green and avoid wasting resources. It also allows them to develop new ways
to use products through recycling.
 Pause rewards is another step in which a business can offer benefits to members for
organisation for using these practices.
