Career plays a very important role in everyone's life that one makes from proper
education and through development of various skills. Personal development refers to a concept
that allows individual in enhancing its present skills with the help of which one can get better

specific field. The present report discusses about roles and responsibilities that are required to get
a good position as Accounting Manager in TESCO Company which is a multinational retailer

is important to have good communication skills in TESCO. Through effective
communication skills a person is able to convey his opinion’s and views properly and on
the other hand understands other view point clearly too. I have a strong command over
my communication skill.
Problem Solving Skills: This involves skills that an employee can utilise while taking
some decision or solving any kind of problem that can hinder the business performance
(Igwe, Lock and Rugara, 2020). TESCO prefers that candidate who carries some
analytical as well as logical thinking skills in order to solve problem which can take birth
at any time.
Planning and Organising Skills: TESCO gives opportunity to those candidates who are
enough competent to plan the activities and makes necessary arrangements that can be

term and short term both. Organising refers to classification and arrangement of resources

brings an opportunity of promotion and high job position in coming time. It is very essential to
have knowledge and skills such as communication, problem solving, technological, and planning
and teamwork so to have long term sustainability in companies. Before going for an interview a
candidate should have enough awareness about company and the job profile which can be
attained through proper reading of job description. Person specification is necessary in order to
have better understanding of candidate’s skills and knowledge. In context to developing one’s
existing skills or overcoming of weaknesses self-reflection plays a very vital role in achieving
such objective which gives a fair presentation of strong as well as week areas.
