INTRODUCTION
Personal development is a unique way for people to evaluate their qualities, talent, skills
in order to consider one's goals in life to realize and enhance their potentiality. There are mainly
three aspects which defines the personal development in better way i.e. improving self
awareness, building own identity and development of talent (Holloway, 2017).
This report will highlight the concept of career choices along with its SWOT analysis in
order to explain gaps in skills, experiences and knowledge.
MAIN BODY
Section 1: Career Goals
Career choice is a difficult task in order to balance personal talent or characteristics with
societal constraints in a way to implement in career decisions over time. There are variety of
career choices and options available which includes Agriculture, food and natural resources,
Architecture, Arts and communication, Business management, Education and training, Finance,
Government administration, Health science, Hospitality sector, Human services, Information
technology, Law, Manufacturing, marketing and many more (Teoh, 2017). But as per my
characteristics and interest I would like to prefer my career development in either Management
and administration, Finance and the last one is Journalism and broadcasting.
The reason I would like to grow my career in Management and administration as
according to me I am fantastic at communicating, motivating, organizing planning, problem
solving and mentoring others which are the primary and foremost characteristics within the
candidate to handle the management within an organization efficiently.
Another opportunity for me is that I would like to grow my career in finance field as
well, as I am wonderful at analysing scenarios and draw suitable conclusions according to the
conditions. I have good analytical abilities along with complete and prolonged knowledge of IT
software which helps in developing complete evaluation of situations.
The last option for me that I would prefer in order to develop my career is Journalism
and broadcasting as I feel that I have compelling manner and the ability to draw information
from other people, clear and professional broadcasting voice, good and efficient writing skills,
able to analyse the story and the way it should be present in front of everyone and the last one
is excellent reporting skills (El Zubeir, 2021).

Overall I have analysed through different and various career fields I found myself suitable for
above mentioned career opportunities according to my interest of working and skills in order to
perform better.
Section 2: Personal SWOT analysis
In order to analyse and evaluate my strengths and weaknesses, I had prepared a
questionnaire which includes certain questions related to my skills, abilities and talent and
distribute it to 5 individuals in order to get the result to know my strengths and weaknesses.
According to my evaluation I had compared it with my opportunities and exert my threats that
stops me somehow to do or perform such tasks (Callahan, 2017). The questionnaire which I have
distribute to evaluate my SWOT analysis includes questions such as:
What are the things you feel I am good at?
What you like about my appearance?
What compliment you would like to give me?
According to you what are the challenges I have overcome from past 3 months?
I have helped others by?
Things that makes me unique according to you?
According to you what I value the most?
The way in which I solve problems?
According to such questions candidates gives their feedback through which I had analysed my
strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities in order to perform better in my career goals and
analyse the area at which I would require improvements in order to become successful.
SWOT Analysis Strengths: In order to leverage my potential, it is highly important for me to primarily
identify my strengths in order to understand the situation or place at which I am standing
currently. My work experience, education qualification, strong technical knowledge,
special transferable skills which includes communication, teamwork, leadership skills
etc., personal characteristics as I have strong work ethics, ability to work under pressure,
self disciplined, creative, optimist and having high level of energy within me, Good and
successful networking and the last is interactive professionally within the organization.

Weaknesses: In order to make improvements within own-self, it is significant to

fields. Though I have various strengths that will help me in my future terms to accomplish my
goals however, some weaknesses which includes that due to my too much thinking behaviour I
found myself sometimes in a situation that I have take a lot of time in order to complete my tasks
which described me as non performer sometimes. In order to fulfil the gap between my strengths
and drawbacks I will take certain necessary measures in order to overcome my weaknesses
through which I will become successful in my future terms. A gap analysis is significant in order
to evaluate the situation on the basis of three key elements such as:

stress level and push back my unreasonable demands (Magranov, 2020).
In order to build confidence within me I will take necessary actions which includes I will
completely monitor my progress, doing exercise which benefits my health memory retention,
improves focus, helps while managing stress, prevents depression in order to reconstruct
confidence level within me. I will develop my thinking for long term perspective and do not take
care about others thinking activity. I will do more actions of what makes me happy through
which I will be able to focus on my desired future goals that I want to achieve at any cost.
According to various opportunities that I have realized in order to develop myself
towards effective career is that in journalism, management as well as in finance sector there are
huge opportunities arises recently in order to expand my career. With the help of my strengths, I
will grasp the opportunity to get success and enhance my professional career along with
overcome my weaknesses as well. In order to achieve my goals I have prepared a plan which
includes:
I will choose my job wisely.
I will take initiative and ownership of everything.
Keeping my positive attitude towards my work as well as life.
Set goals by myself not after get influenced from others.
Learn from feedback of others but not fully dependent on that only.
Do not get stuck and will ask for help whenever required without any hesitation.
Build confidence within me.
Become passionate and disciplined in life as well as towards my career.
Section 4: SMART objectives in order to achieve career goals Specific: To overcome from my weaknesses for personal growth and expansion of my
career.

Measurable: To get employment as a general manager in reputable organization of
United Kingdom. Achievable: To understand that my set goals and objectives are achievable within limited
time frame or not. Realistic: To evaluate whether I would able to overcome my weaknesses or not.
Time frame: To achieve my set goals through enhance my strengths with the help of
opportunities and overcome my weaknesses by end of this year.
CONCLUSION
From the above report I have concluded that with the help of my effective evaluation I
