1.0-How personal learning, transferable skills and development are mirrored
by self reflection
1.1 My approach towards reflecting and identifying the personal approach and development:
One of the factor which plays a crucial role in the life of an individual with respect to his
personal and professional life is of the personality development. It is a process where one tends
to analyse their skills and knowledge and in accordance to that, plans certain motives and aims
which further helps them in increasing their ability. Moreover, with the help of identification of
the mentioned skills one can have set the desired goals for their life and can attain a sense of
confidence. Other than this, it also aids with the process of development of the several visions
while forming the effective strategies. Generally, personal development is a process which
includes the self enhancement of an individual which results in their development of skills,
knowledge and awareness. For the process of personal development there lies various sorts of
activities which helps the individual for developing the potential and capabilities of the
individual. It also assists in the quality of life by increasing the employability of the person. Also
the process of personal development helps in increasing the interpersonal skills of an individual
which also comprises of aspects related to effective listening and communicating skills.

1.2 By attending the module, I have identified the Transferable skills and have already developed
them:
While working for this assignment, there are various types of skills that have been
developed by me for my growth and learning. I have learned in this module that adopting and
changing ourselves with the dynamic technology is essential because it helps me in facing the
competitions present in the environment. I can cope with the different problems that are faced by
me due to the development of skills. Skills which have helped and led to my development are as
follows:
 Analytical skills- These problem solving skills helped me to analyse the issue and
problems that I was facing in my academic period. Because when I did not possess this
skills I used to delay my assigned work due to being unable to solve problems. But this
module has helped me in coping with analytical skills which have encouraged me
towards problem solving and have helped me in analysing my skills towards developing
innovate ideas with lot of creativity. Me and my team mates have learned a lot from this
skill and thus we are now able to complete our assignments on time.
 Effective Interpersonal skills- My communication skills have improved a lot better
when working on this assignment. Due to the project's nature which demanded group
activity, the involvement of other members was essential which involved communicating
with them by sharing my thoughts and ideas. I developed my presentation skills and
effectively communicated with the team members. I was also able to debate my points
thus improving my interpersonal skills.
 Good writing skills- All sectors of life be it on educational level or professional level
require good skills when it comes to writing. When an individual possess good writing
skills they are able to handle projects and effectively deal emails and messages on
electronic media. While handling this module, I have developed writing skills in me
which has helped me effectively communicate my thoughts by the way of pen and paper
with clarity and understanding.
 Cognitive skills- These are also called Learning skills and hence it is not just confined to
reading something or studying it, but involves a major aspect of gaining knowledge,
experiencing new things and developing new and innovative thought process which can
then be inculcated in academics. This module has helped me in gaining knowledge of

various skills and has helped me learn new and varied types of experiences which has
developed my thinking abilities.
The above mentioned points clearly define the skills developed and improved by me when I
worked on this project module. I have also improved other skills and functions within me. I am
highly focusing and working on these skills so that they can help me in my future career and lead
me towards growth. I have also identified my weaknesses which could become obstacles in my
successful performance and I have worked towards making them my strengths.
1.3 Skills that I should develop for better performance in academics, personal space and work
area:
After the successful completion of the given project, I have identified certain skills which
I think I should develop so that they can help in personality improvement. These skills will help
me in developing confidence and will enhance my competitive spirit to compete among the team
members. The following are the skills which I want to develop for my academics, personal and
work place life:
 Presentation skills- I would like to develop skills which can improve my presentation so
that I can effectively communicate my ideas and thoughts by public speaking among the
members of team. It will also help and develop my confidence of self presentation in
front of the audience.
 Leading skills- Inducing leadership skills within oneself is very important which is why I
want to develop this skill. It will help me in keeping my points clearly thereby also
guiding others to follow the same. Thus it becomes essential in the personal and
professional space.
 Soft skills- This skill helps in communicating politely. It helps me to develop good
relations among the team members and my colleagues. It makes the other person hear
what I want to communicate. Thus it will play a great role in achieving success for the
longer run.
 Analytical thinking- I want my thinking abilities to develop so much that I can think out
of the box. It will help me in dealing with problems which can come in the way of
personal and professional life. Critical thinking helps in analysing and evaluating data.
