INTRODUCTION
Belbin team roles are considered as major approaches to develop team management in a
precise and systematic manner. The Belbin team roles include key and major roles which are
played by a team leader in order to manage a team effectively (Adeani, Febriani, and Syafryadin,
2020). Major team roles in Belbin theory are resource investigator, Team worker and Co-
ordinator, Plant, Monitor Evaluator and Specialist , and Shaper, Implementer and Completer
Finisher. The investigator develops a major approach in understanding major dimension of team
management. The team worker helps in management of team work and put efforts to manage
tasks and functions of a team. Main role of the coordinator is to focus on key areas of
development related to management of coordination between team members. Monitor evaluator
performs task of supervising the whole team in order to achieve key outcomes. Shaper provides
key framing to the whole team which is necessary. The implementer implements major rules and
regulations which are required in team management. Complete finisher gives final shape to the
team and ensures all tasks are completed on time. The personal development is considered as key
approach which is beneficial in increasing learning and development in an individual. It is
important for a student to focus on major personal development aspects in order to gain growth
in academic and personal life. The reflection is major approach which helps an individual to
reflect upon learnings and knowledge which is gained. This project includes reflection using the
Gibbs model of reflection in order to acknowledge key dimensions of learning.

Application of Gibbs reflection model in my placement session
The key stages of Gibbs model of reflection are helpful in increasing approach towards
personal development. It is major role of an individual to take help and assistance of Gibbs
reflection model to gain growth (Eastwood, 2017). The application of Gibbs reflection model in
context of my learnings are mentioned below:
Description- I performed the role of team worker in the placement which helped me
increasing career opportunities. The different tasks related to placement were easy at the
initial and after that they became very complex for me. Tasks related to project were
complex because of the situation and time management. The completion of tasks related
to the project require time management and leadership skills. My strengths were
communication skills and critical thinking skills. The areas of development include
academic writing and discipline. The matching of theory related to team management of
Belbin include my development of team management skills.
Feelings- The emotional intelligence is a major requirement which helps an individual to
overcome key issues and challenges (Rolfe, and Freshwater, 2020). The tasks which
were allocated included development of strong emotions as well as morale. I completed
all the major tasks which were allocated to me on time and that was the happiest
experience for me. Yes, I feel the traits and roles correctly describes me. My patience
level and strong perception helped me in taking advantage of placement based
opportunities.
Analyse- The skills which I developed during the placement are decision making, ICT
skills and coordination skills. I have major strengths like good listening, patience and
stress management that helped me a lot. I still need to develop knowledge of the
academic environment and surroundings in order to develop key practices related to
education. The decision making and coordination skills were essential part of my
personality in relation to Belbin theory (Schedlitzki, 2019). These skills will help me to
deal with key consequences and issues which arise in the professional arena. It is also
majorly important for me to take guidance and support from my teachers in order to
develop key advantage.

time. I also got nervous due to uncertainties and I also assumed that I will get failed in
getting the placement opportunities. After the placement interview I was unable to
identify key areas of development . I will improve the areas in which I am lacking in
order to develop a professional approach (Sekarwinahyu, Rustaman, and Riandi, 2019). I
was having mixed feelings related to placement which created certain obstacles and
hurdles for me. In future, I will also focus to learn key aspects of a good interview in
order to facilitate my career development plan. In the personal and professional

advanced manner (Vasciuc, 2020). The Belbin theory will also help me increasing
chances of being loyal and hard working in context of team working and management.

personal development plan in order to increase chances of selection. If the scenario is
repeated, I will also take into consideration development of key skills which are required
to be professional. I will also take suitable actions which are required to develop a major
and professional approach in my career field. I will also take assistance of formulating a
major planning and strategic framework which is required to develop major emphasis on

professional approach towards academics. The knowledge which is acquired by me
