INTRODUCTION
Individual should continuously try to develop various skills in his behaviour to grab
various growth opportunities in the life. Competent skill set is the group of different skills and
competencies which are required to perform particular task and job effectively. While
developing personal development plan of an individual the person should carry out of assessment
in order to identify various strength and weaknesses and the his competence to complete specific
job. In this reflective report my skills which are important for performing various task effectively
are analysis and the weaknesses in the working is also evaluated in order to find out different
future aspect for personal development plans and activities (Andersson, 2010). This is defined
that I am developing various skills in order to accomplish various skills to perform in the
working environment effectively. I should also look out for the future prospects that are available
to me after implementation of personal development plan effectively in practice. In this
particular reflective journal various skills development strategies are planned out like long term
learning, interpersonal skills, communication skills.
Per forma 1
Core skills- Long term learning skill
These are the skills which helps in developing the skills of knowledge and learning in behaviour
which provides the person to learn for long term and utilise his skills and knowledge for longer
time period in practices. In the reflective report, it can be reviewed that I am trying to improve
my long term learning skills through various types of exercises and actions scheduling practice.
This is the skill which helps in completing my task by using previous learned knowledge and
skills in behaviour. These skills helps to me in faster learning and adaptability in new working
environment.
Importance- Cognitive load theory is given by Richard Atkinson and Richard Shiffrin in 1968
in order to analyse the competence of an individual while developing long term learning in
practices (Beausaert, Segers and Gijselaers, 2011). This theory is having great relevance in
developing skills and competencies for the long term learning for the personal development
plan of individual. I am constantly following this particular theories of cognitive load theory in
order to develop long term learning in practical. I am using the various aspects of this theory
like sensory, working and long term learning aspects to develop the skills and knowledge

strong relationship with others which helps in achieving goals of the firm to large extent.

explore this view in from of others. This is the mode of interaction between people.
Communication skills helps in transferring the information with the other individuals. This is an
exchange of ideas with subordinates, with society peoples etc. I should have good
communication skills in order to influence other effectively and should have ability to complete
task through others. I should develop various representable skills in order to communicate
impressively in front of others. Communication is the important criteria for developing its
personality efficiently.

living beings communicate with each other but uses different modes of communication
(Hallam, 2010). All the individual whether its plant, animal or human being interact with each

through analysing the mechanistic, physiological, social aspects of the communication and

weakness as use of proper language in my verbal communication which can be improved
through practising various newer knowledge about the language through implementing it in self

Through motivation skill I can able to complete task in timely and effective manner. Because
motivated person easily attain target and maintain performance as well. The main importance of
such skill is, it helpful to attain long term leaning process. Motivation given internal; strength to
every person and able to enhance their focus as well.
Importance- Mashlow theory can be applied in the this respective skills development plan of
mine (Hay, 2010). I am using various motivation through this respective theory which defined
needs of self actualisation, self esteem needs, safety and social needs.

which I can understand my own goals. It must be present at workplace which is helpful to attain
action. It can maintain relationship among employees and supervisors at work place.
Personal weaknesses- While opted such skills my biggest weakness is lack of self awareness
and not able to focus on particular one thing. Through this, I not able to focus on certain things
which are not beneficial for my long term learning process. Through such weaknesses I m not
properly able to take effective decision and become late to understand things.
Future prospects- Cited skill is having impact on my personality. It is also support to me while
framing of future goals and objective. Furthermore, this is forecasting process which is helpful
for me to attain my long term target. Motivated person always able to take right decision which

From the above report it can be concluded that core competencies and personal skills in
an individual have great significance in completing the task in working environment effectively
and efficiently complying with the quality and time constraints. The person have to develop his
personalty according to the needs of skill development in behaviour. I am focusing on
development of communication skill in my working in order to improve my personal and social
relations with others. While I am also developing motivational skill in my action in order to
achieve the targets confidently and keep faith in myself to achieve all goals of my life
