Core skill
My core skill is giving and receiving feedback. Giving and receiving feedback is a skill
which relates to giving and obtaining comments and suggestion about the work or any
matter(Bassi, Piantanida and Shamai, 2018).
Importance of team working
Giving and receiving feedback is useful as it helps people to evaluate their performance and
helps in improving their skills on the basis of the feedback. Also by giving feedback we can
suggest our ideas on the related topic to the another person. This skill is important as there is
evaluation of work so that one can improve its working skills and can do even better. There
can be both positive and negative feedback where positive feedback acts as a motivation to
the receiver whereas the negative feedback can be learning experience to them. Like a
companies uses feedback method so that they can work on their flaws.
Reflection on current competence
I have skill of receiving and giving feedback at quite good level I can give a relevant, true
and illustrative feedback on any questionnaire. Also I receive and consider the feedback
given to me and work upon it. I used JoharI Window which is a technique helping in the
evaluation by myself. It contains a set of question answering which tells me the level of my
competence . Also according to the peer feedback I am good at giving genuine feedback to
my colleagues. I am also good at receiving the feedback by my teacher without any
aggression and self ego.
Identification of contradictions from above discussion
I didn't found any contradiction relating to the analysis as I provide with a good feedback and
receive lesser of negative feedbacks too. The feedback method helped me alot in improving
my skills. The tool kits which I used are JoharI Window , Peer feedback and tutor feedback,
all have provided me with the true and accurate results which helped me knowing myself and

I discovered that I am attentive and observant to the given situation.
Skills required for future developments
This skill will help me in studies too that is by receiving feedbacks I can increase my learning
level and help in understanding myself. I generally use this as communicating method by
giving feedback to my team members and give them a quality feedbacks. This skill will help
me developing my personality in whole by accepting the feedback received by me on my
work and studies as it will evaluate the work done by me. It will also increase my
communication skills.

Core skill
Teamwork is a way of organizing a work among the people who are work together to achieve
a common goal. It is defined as the cooperation between the people who are working together
on particular task to achieve a common aim. In teamwork people involved in a particular task
or a job try to cooperate towards the common goal by using individual skills and knowledge
despite any conflict within the team. (Valentine Nembhard and Edmondson, 2015).
Importance of team working
It is an important skill for an individual to increased efficiency and ability to
understand different opinions on same problem.
Tuckman's team work theory describes the team work and efficient task to be
completed through effective team efforts. Tuckman describes its team work theory in
5 different stages. Firstly forming, they described it as member and employees start
interacting with each others and coming together to achieve a single task relating to
company internal matters to engage the company into success. Secondly is storming,
when they bring different employees together than conflict occurs relating to different
knowledge they occur and this discussion affects the authority decision of bringing
together to achieve target. Third is norming, when the roles and responsibilities are
clear and team members are known each others. Fourth is performing, the team is

more focus on goals and there is less interference of leader. Fifth is adjourning, when
team members are achieved their goals and separate in other team for other goals. This
theory help to understand that with the team members. They can achieve their goals
effectively(TUCKMAN: FORMING, STORMING, NORMING, PERFORMING
MODEL.2019).
Working in a team creates a sense of unity and enthusiasm as people work for the
common interest and responsibilities. Team work fosters responsiveness and
flexibility and also encourages multidisciplinary work and ultimately promotes a
sense of achievement.
Reflection on current competence
Reviewing my strength and weakness I realised that I am not able to work as an effective
team member because I am not able to deliver my 100% to my team. I am not able to posses
the quality or skills of the team. I am not easily comfortable with the team members. I am
conscious to share my opinion and ideas in a team.
This evidence can be provided by:
Tool kits:- with the use of 123 team test, I found that I am contributed very less as
compare to other team members.
Peer feedback:- I got feedback from my peers that I am not effectively communicate
with the team members.
Tutor feedback:- I am not able to give equal contribution towards team.
Identification of contradictions from above discussion
I did not found any contradiction about my skills and reviews from others. As they believed
that I am not a good team member and not able to give equal contribution towards team.
Skills required for future developments
As working in a team is essential for any employee in an organisation. I need to develop my
skills as a team member and prove themselves in a team. I have to develop a conflict
management skills how to resolve conflicts in a team which will help me to become an

effective team member and will enhance my skills which is required to work in a team.
SUMMARY AND ACTION PLAN
From the above reflection, I came to know that there are some strengths and weaknesses
in me. My strengths will help me in achieving opportunities in future and the weaknesses I need
to improve them and develop a plan in order to overcome my weaknesses.
Strengths
I am also a good in giving and receiving feedback, I have skill of receiving and giving
feedback at quite good level I can give a relevant, true and illustrative feedback on any
questionnaire. Also I receive and consider the feedback given to me and work upon it.
Weaknesses
I also have poor team work, I realised that I am not able to work as an effective team
member because I am not able to deliver my 100% to my team.
