Personal and professional development is a process through which the company as well
as individual engage in a process of a learning in order to meet the challenge as well as desire
goal. Hence its aim is to manage own learning and generate the growth opportunities of a career
(Lejeune, Beausaert and Raemdonck, 2018). For that, an individual has to determine own skill
and knowledge and then make action accordingly.

Short term goals assist to make big changes in the career. So it is something that an
individual want to do in near future i.e. current week, month or year (Soria, Fransen and
Nackerud, 2017). Hence, it is stated that it is something that a person wants to accomplish soon.
For example, improving the communication and networking skills, change a job, waste less time
during working hours are consider some examples of personal short term goals.

Medium term goals take long time as compared to short term goal i.e. two months to
three years. This type of goal are majorly skipped by an individual because they don't keep track
of them and did not even pay any attention (Quirke, 2020). For example, graduate from college,
buy a house and pay off the auto loan are consider some common personal mid term example
that a person made and completed within specific tenure.

Long term goals require long time to be accomplished such that more than 5 to 10 years
in order to see the progress. Or else it is stated that these are those goals which an individual
want to accomplish in future (Hopkins and Reid, 2018). That is why, it requires time as well as
effective planning hence it may takes several years to be fulfilled. For example, to become a
team leader in a company, save money fro retirement or being debt free and last is to be places
in a reputed firm in order to develop technical knowledge as well as use creativity.

Personal development plan provides a framework that helps to identify the area i.e.
strength and weakness in order to capitalize the current skills and competencies. Therefore, it is
a life long process which is creates in order to attain the specific skills whether it will be long,
