What is the core skill
Team working skill can be defined as ability of person to work collaboratively with group of
people in organisation. I want to improve my team working skill that is the core skills of
focus for mine.
Why is this core skill important?
It is very essential for me to improve team working skill within me. Each organisation hires
such candidates who are able to work in a team efficiently. If individual does not have team
working ability then it might create issue in adjusting in environment. If I improve this
ability in me then I would be able to understand my allotted work efficiently and will be able
to complete it efficiently. Team working skill will be helpful in developing healthy
relationship with others. This would create friendly atmosphere and I will work comfortably.
By developing this ability, I can get new ideas to work better. Thus, my creativity and
productivity will be raised. Improving team working skill will enhance career development
opportunity for me. Tuckman theory of team development explains that if there is proper
communication between leader and employees then it helps in improving working efficiency.
How competent are you currently?
My team working skill is good. I can coordinate in a group well. My friendly behaviour
always help me to work in team efficiently,. This skill of mine supports me in developing
strong relationship with other employees.
Toolkit: I have so many friends in company and we have good bonding. By looking at that I
realised that my team working skill is good.
Peer feedback: My peer group members give positive review for me; they like to work with
me. Though we all have competitive spirit but they said that I can work in team efficiently.
Tutor feedback: I order to analyses my competence on this core skill I have taken tutor
feedback. My tutor has said that I work in team greatly and they have no complains for that.

I want to improve my Researching and information finding skill, as my focus is on this skill.
Researching skill can be defined as ability of person to gather information about topic by
involving relevant sources.
Why is this core skill important?
This skill development will be beneficial for me, by this way I would be able to conduct
research papers and dissertations more efficiently. This would support main improving
working efficiency and will raise my quality as well. If I become able to gain information
about subject easily then I would be able to complete any task in less time. Furthermore,
planning will be done by me more significantly. If I work as professional then I would have
to face so many problems during work but having good researching and information finding
skill will aid in finding best solution of each issue. Furthermore, this would enhance my
knowledge and will improve my capability to work in organisation.

My researching and information finding skill is very poor. I take more time to gather detail
related to subject matter. Due to this weakness sometimes I fail to complete my work on
time.

Peer feedback: My peer group members have also said that I take more time in searching any
content. I always try to use more specific and more relevant data and if I do not find it then I

Researching and information gathering skill of mine will definitely support me in my career.
In the future I would be able to gather information related to subject matter. This will help
me in completing my work on time. I would be able to prepare a report with quality by
involving relevant data. I would not miss any deadline that would create positive impression
of mine in the mind of higher authorities. Thus, I would be able to gain more career
development opportunities in organisation. I would be able to make my career as researcher

Focus and attention is my core skill which I need to develop. It is the brain's ability to
concentrate its attention on a target stimulus for any period of time. This is one of the most
important skill which I am lacking. I need to lay keen emphasis on developing this skill. IT
will help me in shaping my career and growing. Also focus will also improve my personal
life. It will support me in reducing all my problems which I am facing.

important factor which can help me in building and shaping my career. My learning abilities

My mind is very diverted and I do not lay keen focus and attention on my studies. Because
of which I am loosing my grades. So I need to lay keen emphasis on increasing my focus
and attention power.
Toolkit: I used online tutorial and have consulted with my seniors and they have also
replied that I would have to work on reducing my diverted nature.
Peer feedback: My classmates have given me the comment that I do not pay keen focus and
attention on studies. So I need to improve it as soon as possible.
Tutor feedback: My tutor has also provided me the feedback that I need to lay more focus
on studies. Because of less concentration I am loosing my grades.
