1. Definition of the concept of personal and professional development.
Personal and professional development refers to a process which involves learning and
gaining the knowledge for the growth of oneself. It is associated with developing the personal
and professional skills which helps in growth of the carrier in future. For development of ones
own personality one should learn new things and meet new challenges and goals. Once the goals
and aims are set by a person it is helpful in developing its personal and professional skills for
future also. By which it gets benefited in various ways.
2. Description and discussion of the value of short term goals identifying at least 3
personal examples
These type of goals are adopted by a person who thinks there is a need of minor improvements in
oneself. So, these goals must be accomplished within a week or ten days. Such type of goals are:
 Build a schedule and morning routine.
 Keep daily journals to keep your mind up to date.
 Explore something new everyday.
3. Description and discussion of the value of medium term goals identifying at least 3
personal examples.
These types of goals are achieved after a sequence of short term goals are achieved. These type o
goals are generally achieved in 4 weeks or 2-3 months. Some examples of medium term goals
are:
 Get a graduation degree.
 Pay off your loan and debts
 Start savings and made fixed deposit account.

These types of goals takes a long time to be achieved. These types of goals may take a
longer time of more than 1year or more. Some examples of long term goals are:
 Get a dream job and work to become millionaire.

 Secure funds for the future plans and family.

A personal development plan is a process of creating an action plan which is based on
values, awareness, setting up goals and make plans for the developing its one’s own personality.
For the personal development plans time is needed according to goals set by an individual for
itself. Accordingly time needed for various goals are:
Short term goals:
 For building a daily routine – 10 days.
 Explore something new and productive – 15days
 Keep daily journals to get updated with news and current affairs- 7days
Medium term goals:
 Get a degree- 6months.
 Pay off old debts and pay off your loans- 3 months.
 Start saving some amount – 8 months.
Long term goals:
 Secure funds for future and children -2 years
 Become financially independent financially -1 year
 Get a dream job and become a billionaire- 3 years

To know and understand the credibility and usefulness of the sources there are some important
details which are taken into consideration for using it. Such as author of the source it is used to
determine about knowledge and concepts of the writer or publisher. By this one can come to
know about which type of organization it is talking about and who is author for it. So, credentials
are used for the name of author and it is the best way to start with. The purpose is also an
important part which is considered as one become aware about direction in which author wants

such as professional, emotional or objective. .Reliability tells about truthfulness and correctness
of the content and relevance tells about either content is related to the task or not.
