Part 1 – Personal Analysis
Strengths Areas for further development
I recognised during the entire learning course that I
am very well versed in communication skills. I am
able to engage in written as well as spoken
communication very well.
I was also able to identify that my analytical skills
again are extremely well developed and I can easily
interpret the data that I have collected to draw
relevant conclusions very quickly (Davies, Curtin
and Robson, 2017).
Another area of strength that I was able to identify
pertains to the decision making skills that I had
where I could take swift and firm decisions as and
when the different situations arise in the entire
course.
There are multiple areas in which I need to
develop myself further and the first area in
which I need to improve is time management. I
tend to procrastinate and over research on
things which causes delay in my work.
Ultimately, this makes me miss my deadlines
and I need to improve this further.
Another area of development that I find
important for me is related to numeracy skills.
My calculative abilities are very weak and I
need to develop a strong grasp on this skill set.
Further, the last area of development that I
have recognised for myself is related to
interpersonal skills. I am not able to develop
relationships quickly and profoundly.
Opportunities Threats
There are many areas in which I can develop myself
effectively and some of the most prominent
opportunities for me are:
I can regularly evaluate the trends changing in my
field and keep better judgement of the predicted
changes that might arise. This will help me in
taking more relevant and justified decisions
regarding business.
There are a variety of threats that I can face in
the overall work performance areas:
There is a lot of competition in the university
and I have learnt that it is necessary to
regularly update myself (Doberneck and et.al.,
2017). Otherwise, I can become redundant and
this can influence my ability to excel in the
market.

Another area of opportunity for me is in enhancing
the networking skills where I can be more effective
in developing a connect with people and making
more contacts. This will definitely help me a lot in
future whenever any diverse situation does arise.
Another major area that can act as a threat for
me basically pertains to the lack of adequate
training and developmental activities. This can
affect my overall skills and capabilities that
might come in assistance in the future.

Short-term goals (next 12 months)
There is a particular set of goals that I have developed for short term:
I tend to expand my interpersonal and numeracy skills and this can be done as per
the personal development plan that I have developed.
I also tend to work on the development of professional skills that will help me in
the achievement of the desired career objectives.
I will also tend to develop myself overall in such a manner that I will be able to
create a multi aspect personality that will help me in meeting whatever professional
as well as personal objectives that I have set up for myself.
Medium term goals (next 2-3 years)
The medium term goals that I developed for myself for a period of 2- 3 years are:
I have decided that I will engage in the attainment of adequate experience related to
work as well as individual or on personal basis.
I have ascertained that since I will attain the position of assistant marketing
manager in a reputed retail firm so that I can easily pave way for my future
objective of becoming a manager.
I have also decided to ensure that the professional as well as personal goals will be
achieved adequately for my longer term benefits accordingly.
Longer term goals (beyond 3 years)
Now, I have developed certain long term goals for me as well and these can be illustrated
in following manner:
I have decided to become head marketing manager in the firm which is my ultimate career
objective as well.
I have ultimately finalised on becoming a leader along with marketing manager and I will
do this effectively by conforming with the activities that I have planned for my self-
development.
