INTRODUCTION
Professional Development Plan (PDP), also known as an Employee Development Plan or
an Individual Development Plan, is used to document career goals and set out a strategy on how
to meet them. This report highlights the PDP on the basis of the need generated by the way of
Diagnostic method. After that the report goes on to explain my own experience of developing the
PDP. In the end the report highlights the Long term PDP.
TASK 1
SMART OBJECTIVE
SMART is an objective which describes what an individual, team or organization is
hoping to achieve in the Future.
Specific: I am very specific that I am looking to improve my Time management and
Analysis skill as this skill will provide very crucial hand in future growth. At the same
time also looking to improve Communication, corporation, Negotiation and note making
skill.
Measurable: I Will be measuring all the objective with the help of the benchmark
technique.
Achievable: This objective is achievable with the help of the different practices and
efforts.
Realistic: This objective is realistic as in the past also many individual has achieved the
same objective with the help of the different resources.
Time Bound: I will try to achieve all my goal in 2 year time spam.
SWOT
Strength: The biggest strength of mine which was found that I am having very good
communication skill as I always found it easy to communicate with other which
eventually help me in clarifying my thoughts very easily. Another strength which was
found that I am very good at Problem solving as I always found I easy to solve the
problem which was faced by me (Rubens and et.al., 2018).
Weakness: Weakness which was found was that I am not good at interpreting the thing
and linking it with reality. It was also found that I find it difficult to trust other in the
institute irrespective of good communication skill. It was also found that I ma not that
good decision maker irrespective of my problem solving skill.

Using Different diagnostic method to identify learning need
Using different diagnostic method has helped me in understanding the current position of
mine by giving me the idea about what is the strength, weakness and threat which are their for
me. By using different Diagnostic tool I was able to understand that I ma very good at
communication level when it comes on oral communication but at the same time I am not able to
communicate that freely with written communication. Not only that it has also helped me in
understanding that I am good at understanding the information but at the same time find it
difficult to analysis the same which has affected my interpretation skill and somehow has
affected my negotiation skill as well (Körkkö, Kyrö-Ämmälä and Turunen, 2016). Diagnostic
method has also helped me in giving the idea about what are the skill which I should develop
which can help me in getting success in the future. Time management and cooperation are two of
such type of the skill. As time management skill will help in improving the work to be performed
in the organization. Cooperation will help me in improving the problem solving skill of mine as
with that I would be getting more number of solution for the same issue.
