INTRODUCTION
Professional Development Plan (PDP), also known as an Employee Development Plan or
an Individual Development Plan, is used to document career goals and set out a strategy on how
to meet them. This report highlights the PDP on the basis of the need generated by the way of
Diagnostic method. After that the report goes on to explain my own experience of developing the
PDP. In the end the report highlights the Long term PDP.
TASK 1
SMART OBJECTIVE
SMART is an objective which describes what an individual, team or organization is
hoping to achieve in the Future.
 Specific: I am very specific that I am looking to improve my Time management and
Analysis skill as this skill will provide very crucial hand in future growth. At the same
time also looking to improve Communication, corporation, Negotiation and note making
skill.
 Measurable: I Will be measuring all the objective with the help of the benchmark
technique.
 Achievable: This objective is achievable with the help of the different practices and
efforts.
 Realistic: This objective is realistic as in the past also many individual has achieved the
same objective with the help of the different resources.
 Time Bound: I will try to achieve all my goal in 2 year time spam.
SWOT
 Strength: The biggest strength of mine which was found that I am having very good
communication skill as I always found it easy to communicate with other which
eventually help me in clarifying my thoughts very easily. Another strength which was
found that I am very good at Problem solving as I always found I easy to solve the
problem which was faced by me (Rubens and et.al., 2018).
 Weakness: Weakness which was found was that I am not good at interpreting the thing
and linking it with reality. It was also found that I find it difficult to trust other in the
institute irrespective of good communication skill. It was also found that I ma not that
good decision maker irrespective of my problem solving skill.

 Opportunity: Their is good opportunity in front of me to improve my presentation skill
as I will be taking part in different seminar and conference in coming future.
 Threat: Analysis skill is the biggest threat for e as it is one of the most demanding skill
in today's world but I am not able to cope up with the changes which is require by this
skill.

Using Different diagnostic method to identify learning need
Using different diagnostic method has helped me in understanding the current position of
mine by giving me the idea about what is the strength, weakness and threat which are their for
me. By using different Diagnostic tool I was able to understand that I ma very good at
communication level when it comes on oral communication but at the same time I am not able to
communicate that freely with written communication. Not only that it has also helped me in
understanding that I am good at understanding the information but at the same time find it
difficult to analysis the same which has affected my interpretation skill and somehow has
affected my negotiation skill as well (Körkkö, Kyrö-Ämmälä and Turunen, 2016). Diagnostic
method has also helped me in giving the idea about what are the skill which I should develop
which can help me in getting success in the future. Time management and cooperation are two of
such type of the skill. As time management skill will help in improving the work to be performed
in the organization. Cooperation will help me in improving the problem solving skill of mine as
with that I would be getting more number of solution for the same issue.
TASK 2
Relevancy of skill for academic performance and employ ability
 Written communication: Written communication is very relevant in day to day life as
with the help of written communication help the individual in building good impression
on the different party in the organization which will help in improving employ ability and
written communication also help the business in improving academic performance
(Girvan, Conneely, and Tangney, 2016). Need of the same understand with the hep of
the Shannon and Weaver communication model (Gillespie and Schiffman, 2018)..
 Time management: Time management skill help in improving the efficiency of the
employee as it helps in completing the work on time. This will eventually help in
improving academic performance.

 Cooperation: This skill is relevant as this skill will help me in solving the problem very
easily as by the help of the same I will able to improve the clarity of thought in the
organization which will eventually increase my employ ability in the organization.
 Negotiation Skill: Negotiation skill is relevant in improving the employ ability as
negotiation skill help in building good relationship which is very important in improving
academic performance and employ ability (Whitworth and Chiu, 2015). The need of the
same was understand with the help of the Discipline model of negotiation. This used to
explain the negotiation in five step that is Prepare, Know, create, Give and Get and
Conclude.
 Analysis Skill: Analysis skill will help the individual in getting out more number of the
solution for the same problem which will eventually help in improving the problem
solving skill. This contribute very positively toward improving the academic
performance and accountability. The need of the same was understand with the help of
the Artifact analysis model which explains that model contains the results of use case
analysis (Zhang, Dong and Liu, 2018).
 Note Making: Note making skill will help the individual in summarizing all the learning
very easily which will eventually contribute very positively toward increasing the
efficiency. This may result in improving academic performance and employ ability.
Sources that demonstrate improvement against goal
In order to select and demonstrate against the goals I have select the best source for
improve skills for my perfect future. Source are books, tuition and reading notes books has
helped me in order to improve my management skill. These skills are help me out for managing
proper work and employees in my future company is in the bright future. I have taking evidence
from external source including systematic reviews, best practices (Zohar and Lustov, 2018). This
has properly support me to handle problems by improving problem solving skills in the future.
The process of reflection and review
The process of reflection is a cycle which needs to be repeated for the best work and its
policy. It is the best part of my life to taking review of learning and improving skills in effective

The reflection process is help me in working with other as now I can share my ideas and
suggestion with others (Bernard, 2017). This reflection help me in analyzing my strength and
weaknesses and also to know the opportunities to development which are present in the
environment. This help also help me in enhancing my knowledge and skills developing my
career and have growth in my future.
Development goal Examine
 Self Goal: This PDP has helped me in improving my self skill very much as now I find it
easy to communicate with other very easily in written communication which has
eventually gave me the confidence to talk to any senior authority in the organization. It
has also helped me in building good reputation of mine in front of different parties at
workplace. I am able to improve mine time management skill but not upto that extent as
now also I find it difficult to manage the work on time.
 Group Goal: I am able to improve my group working skill. As hearing the thought of
colleague first has helped me in understanding what is going in their mind and
interpenetrating them in better way which has helped me in seeing more number of
friends and getting better idea for the issue which I used to face. Negotiation skill has
also improved as now I am able to interpreted the thing in better way it get easy for me to
negotiate in the organization.
 Academic Goal: This is the side which I am not able to improve as expected. As I found
that today also it is difficult for me to analyses the data and find out the solution of the
problem.. Note making is the skill which I am able to improve as now I find it easy to
recall all the learning with the help of note making (Bernard, 2017).
