Task One:
Definition of the concept of personal and professional development
Personal development is defined as the activities which develops an individual
capability, enhance quality of life and helps in enduring concerns which are related to
development of individual which is done. It is the realization of dreams and
aspirations (Potapchuk, Makaruk and et.al., 2020). It is an important aspect as it
helps the individual to grow and develop at large scale.
Professional development is the process which aims to improve and increase
the capabilities which are mentioned and are creating value of the professional
career at large scale. Professional development is done through training and
educational opportunities at the workplace and this process is also followed by the
other individuals performing the job (Chaudhary, 2020). Professional development is
very important and this helps in knowing and understanding the individuals are
learning and are improving their way of development done on a professional level.

The short form aims are done further. Each aim that fall under this category
aids in achieving and creating value of how effectively and in appropriate manner the
personal short term goals can be set. It is very important that the personal short term
goals are important are taking concern about the goals to be fulfilled in the future.
The short term goals are also framed as personal goals which are framed and are
concerning the aspect of how effectively and in appropriately there are concerns of
personal goals to be achieved by an individual (Raiden and King, 2021).
There are three main short term personal goals and this helps in addressing
that how the short term goals and objectives are achieved. These are –
ï‚· Earning a new degree or certificate.
ï‚· Making a website for self.
ï‚· Learning a communication skill.

Aims which take long time than short term goals and objectives are
considered as medium aims. These are short than the long term goals. The medium
term objectives help the individual to frame and analyses the major basis due to
which the goals and objectives are fulfilled. These are the goals which take the time
of two to five years. The medium term goals are goals and objectives which helps in
understanding how the goals are achieved and how the individual perceives them
(Mullins, 2020). The medium term goals also help in analysing and knowing the
perceptions of how effectively the personal goals are also channelized and are
creating value for professional and personal development. The three medium term
goals are –
ï‚· Getting a new job.
ï‚· Completing a degree program.
ï‚· Graduating from college.

Long term goals are wished to achieved further. Appropriate time and effective plans
are needed in achievement of these goals and the time taken for the long term goals
is usually more than a year. It takes come stages to complete and accomplish a long
term goal (Lewis, 2020). The long term goals help in achieving the targets and goals
in accomplishing how effectively the long term goals are achieved at large scale.
Long term goals are valuable as they help in analysing and identifying the
perspectives of creating value at large scale. The value of long term goals is
valuable and are analysed as most effective which helps in analysing the concerns
which are related to how effectively long term goals are identified. The three
personal long term goals are identified as –
ï‚· Learning a foreign language.
ï‚· Creating a fitness routine.
ï‚· Buying/building a house.

information. The reliability and relevance of the information and data is gathered in
the manner which helps in collecting the essential information and knowing the
details which are to be included in an appropriate manner (Zurell, Franklin and et.al.,
2020). The data collected also depicts that it is relevant and this signifies the
concerns related with the data and knowledge of the individual. The authors are the
basis from where the data is collected and gathered in appropriate manner.
