Introduction
Personal development plays an important role in the life of students. It helps the
students to develop their skills and capabilities and they are able to achieve the desired goal
of their life. It is an approach that helps the students to learn effectively and manage the
working (Shtaltovna, 2021). There is evaluation related to transferable skills that they have
developed. At the time of academic studies, there is need of carrying the work in such a
manner that there is overall growth. There is use of learning log and action plan that helps the
student to learn effectively.
1.0 Self-reflection on personal learning and development, and the
transferable skills
Personal learning is the process that helps to learn from the personal experience. It is
seen that I am able to learn effectively at the time of studies. I have understood that there are
certain skills that play a critical role in getting a good job (Lansdell, Marx and
Mohammadali-Haji, 2020). The skill helps to give the interview and get selection. By being a
regular student in the classroom, I am able to work on my skills. The development will help
me to get a good job and carry on the work effectively.
Transferable skills include time management, communication, leadership skills,
decision making skills that could be used in various roles. There is need of developing all
these skills and carry on the assignments in effective manner so that the work is managed
properly. These skills will also help in future and getting good job and working effectively
over there. These skills are necessary for the development of the students and their life. I have
understood that I must work on all these skills in order to get good job and achieve success in
future.
1.1 Identification and reflection on my approach to personal learning and
development
Learning is the process that helps the students to grow. A student must have ability
and dedication to learn from the time they are given work. The development of the students is
necessity. According to me the best approach to learning is self study (Zhang and et.al.,
2019). I agree that the teachers teach effectively in classroom. By concentrating in the class
the concepts become clear and I am able to understand the topic. There is need of self study
that makes me understand the details and get in depth information. The use of such

information makes my concepts strong. It helps me to know about the areas that I am not able
to understand. I give more time to those subjects that I am weak at. It is necessary to carry on
the work in such a manner that helps me to develop all the skills. This enhances my
confidence level and I am able to give answers in the next class (Sotiriadou and et.al., 2020).
Daily studies are important and help to remember the information effectively.
It is necessary to conduct SWOT analysis so that all the skills and weakness are
analyzed. It helps to overcome the weakness and all the problems that might take place. It
helps to develop all the skills and work effectively and get good marks (Malinin, 2018). I
believe in forming a time table and following the same so that real success is attained. There
is need of setting SMART goals and that help me to enhance the particular skills within right
time. The short term goal and long term goals must be related to each other and necessary for
the success in future.
1.2 Identification of the transferable skills I have already developed by
attending this module
Transferable skills are necessary for every individuals which will help in influencing
people. These skills are required at every field in life whether in education or in career. These
skills are most valuable and approachable which assure that it is crucial for attending job role.
This shows that every time I require expertise or suggestion, transferable skills is the most
helpful. While building own career Transferable skill are the foremost ones which will enable
capabilities and abilities (Slepcevic-Zach, and Stock, 2018). These skills are
communication, time management, interpersonal and collaborative working. An individuals
learns these skills by observing others behavior and working practices. When we see
someone communicating frequently and effectively. it inspire us to develop the same in own
self. so that, I could learn these skills through my peers and teachers (Barath, 2018). Also, I
develop my team management skills in a proper way by working with group of individuals in
making projects. It is required for the necessary skills to develop in a person to build
confidence and represent own self as a competitive personality.
1.3 Skills I would like to develop during my academic studies, personal life
and the workplace
During academic studies, an individual is in need of many skills which helps them
communicating, making projects and get good grades. Apart from this, the skills which
requires in personal life are also crucial in putting much control on the daily activities. I need

to develop effective research, writing and time management skills. It will helps me during my
studies to make projects and conduct good research assessments (El-Senousy, 2020). I need
to develop time management to manage my both academic and personal life and adjust time
accordingly as per the priorities. Other academic skills that can be developed are team
working, problem solving and collaborative working. These can be developed through
engaging universities programs, take participate in group activities and sessions. Also,
personal skills which is required to develop in to manage time properly. There is requirement
of setting priority task and manage my time accordingly (Avotina, 2019). For that instance,
an action plan is required for planning on how to improve these skills within limited time
period.
