INTRODUCTION
Personal skill and academic skills are two important aspect of career growth that reflect
upon strength, skill and competence of the individual. It will help in raising high confidence with
the regular assessment in personal development plan. The report aims towards value of personal
and professional development along with short, medium and long term goal. It facilitates overall
support in order to gain learning and experience.
TASK 1
Personal and professional development
The ultimate goal in respect towards personal growth is inherit in student. So that each
student can improve the level of understanding in the working environment. It ensure proper
organised way so that each action plan to enhance career growth (Alnaggar, 2021). For this
student ultimately enhance their knowledge and skill for doing desirable goal. It require effective
communication for potential career growth. That is why plan of personal and professional
development directs towards assistance of established career goal.
Value of short goal
Short term goal mainly count of near future of the student. The short span of goal will gets
accomplish in short period of time (Anderton, 2020). It can include specific target such as that
can complete in short time oriented. Short goal leads towards fulfilment of overall short term
objective. Example- marketing student aims to improve its communication skill within 2 months.
Value of medium goal
Medium goal leads towards objective of up to the 8 months in the life of student learner.
These count between short and long term goal. This will established after the completion of the
short term goal and act as a updated version of short goal. Example- marketing students aims to
enhance knowledge understanding of the consumer behavior in period of 8 months.

Value of long goal
Long term goal covers the objective more than 2 years, this require high level of
knowledge so that established long term goal can be fulfil within specific time of the futuristic
vision. This will include all career and academic goal in more organised manner so that student
can plan for its generating long term career opportunity (Loizou, 2018). This goal covers more
attainable goal for example marketing student want to grow career by getting job as marketing
manager in MNC company within 2 years.
