facilitates an individual to effectively perform their academic activities such as presentations,

order to overcome the weak skills by effectively developing and enhancing them. In order to gain
academic skills an individual is required to develop their short term medium term and long term
goals the present report will discuss the value of these goals along with the personal development
plan a framework that will reflect skills required to be obtained using a particular plan and
measures within a timeframe.

Personal and professional development is a process of self learning and assessment engaging into
learning activities which will help an individual to give skills and goals for the life that will help
in the personal and professional career (Kosovich, Flake and Hulleman, 2017). Personal
development is the enlargement of the individual skills and capabilities with the aim to enhance
and develop skills which will help in individual to deliver and performance that will provide a
growth in personal and professional life and career. For personal and professional development
some basic skills that are required to be developed are time management, communication,
presentation skills and many more. Professional development is important as it helps in
individual to attend the accurate path for job thereby improving the knowledge and skills during
the working period through training and development sessions and by analysing the Peer work. It
is very essential for an individual to continuously develop their personal and professional skills
in order to attain short term and long term goals of the life and to build an exceptional
personality that will differentiable from the other individuals in a positive manner. Any
drawback or shortcoming in the skills can be turned into an opportunity by developing a personal

term goals provide stability and support long term goals and also help me in gaining success

goals so that I can analyse my shortcomings in the path of achieving my long term goals. This
helps me in mitigating shortcoming immediately without any hindrance with long term goals.

understands the key learning’s regarding the skills and capabilities regardless of taking much
time and a longer process before the significant process which means which process is not too
long and enough to be understand the elements that are required to deeply learn the concept of

career. Long term goals are attend within 7 to 8 years and are considered as the final results of
the hard work done by an individual in order to grow and succeed in the life long term goals
takes a larger amount of time compared to the short term and medium term goals but provides a
fruitful experience and also helps in the personal and professional development of an individual.
I personally believe that it is very important for a student to have the long term goals in order to
keep focused and motivated towards their academic skills and also to grow professionally and
personally there by engaging themselves into the continuous learning process which help me in
developing multiple skills capabilities and qualities in my life (Rubens and et.al., 2018). The
long term goals help me in enhancing and achieving the capabilities on skills that it a shot me e
outshining professional and personal career therefore long term goals are vital for the self
improvement and also to strive for something that is essential for shaping the direction of a
