help of good academic skills students is able to take effective decisions and become successful in
career (Steves, 2019). In this report there is discussion related to personal and professional
development. It is vital for a person to formulate and set the goals. So in the report there is
discussion related to short term, medium term are long term goals that help the individual to
achieve goals and objectives. It is vital to formulate PDP so it is attached in the end. Along with
that value of Personal Development Plan is discussed in this report.

It is vital for an individual to decide the about the career option. It is seen that with the
help of personal and professional development an individual can achieve its goals and objectives.
The aim behind personal and professional development is to manage the growth and learning
throughout the career of the student. It is vital to know about the skills that are required by the
student that will help in growth of the student. It is a plan that helps in development of an
individual and helps to accomplish the desired goals (Thurston, 2019). It helps the student to
grab opportunities that will contribute to bright future of the student. It helps to form goals that
help in development of the student and having good future ahead. It will be beneficial for the
student to know about the student and self evaluation of the person so that there is problem in the
future. A good personal and professional development plan helps the individual to work in a
direction and to achieve the goals and objectives.
It helps the individual to know about the career that the person wants to choose.
Then set objectives that will help in achievement of career goals in an effective manner. It will
help the student to attain all the goals on time. Each and every person should know about the
skills that they are lacking and they need to improve so that all the work in completed on time.
There are some areas that the individual needs to focus on and that help them in their personal as
well professional growth. Those are as follows emotional, social, physical, mental, and cerebral.
