INTRODUCTION
Personal development refers to the development of overall personality. It is about
developing the individual in terms of their skills, knowledge, independence, confidence level
and many other aspects also. It is a very long procedure. In this report, the analysis has been
done on the concept of distinctive and executive growth. The analysis has also been done on
the value of short-phrase and medium-phrase targets with some cases. (Ridzuan, A. A. M.,
2020). Also the research has been done on the long-phrase targets with some particular cases
and also discuss about the value of a distinctive growth scheme. The chosen organisation or
university is named as University of Cambridge. The University of Cambridge is a collegiate
research university in Cambridge, United Kingdom. It was founded in 1209. Cambridge is the
second oldest university in the English speaking world and the world’s fourth-oldest
surviving university.
TASK 1
1.Explain about the distinctive and executive growth
Distinctive growth can be defined as it is the lifelong process where it is about the overall
development of the personality regarding their skills, knowledge, confidence level and also
set objectives and goals regarding their career. The reason for setting goals and objectives is
to find out the highest potential of an individual. Whereas executive growth can be defined as
it is the set of tools of resources, training sessions, knowledge and skills which is required for
the purpose of achieving the objectives of the organisation. Through professional
development, employees become smarter, proactive and it is also beneficial for the growth of
the company as well as gives the contribution towards in upgrading the career of an
individual.
2.Explain about the short-phrase targets and its importance with three distinctive cases
A short-phrase targets can be defined as it is something which an individual wants to
achieve very soon. The near future can be week, this month or a particular day.
Value of short-phrase targets
Short-terms goals are those goals which help in gauging that how far an individual has come
and how long he or she has to travel to reach to its destination (Creus, and et.al., 2018). It is
the pathway through which an individual can reach to its long-term goals.

Three examples of short-term goals are of the following:
Reading two books every month
Exercising two times a week
Creating a saving plan
3.Explain about the medium-term goals and its value with three personal examples
Medium-term goals can be defined as it takes a bit longer period of time. It could be a
goal which needs to be achieved in the next two weeks, a month and may be six months. A
medium term goal might be explained the steps in mitosis.
Value of medium-phrase targets
These are that type of goals who takes long enough to make significant progress while short
enough that the values and priorities won’t dramatically different by time in achieving the
goal. (Painho, and et.al., 2017).Medium term are those goals which can be achieved within
three to five years. But everybody can’t keep track on these medium-term goals.
Following are the three cases of medium-phrase targets
Graduate from a college
A summer internship which helps in achieving the goals
Figuring out which career is best for the entire life
4.Explain about the long-term goals and its value with three distinctive cases
A long-phrase target is something which an individual wants to do in future. Long
term goals are important for successful career.
Value of long-phrase goal
Long-phrase targets help us in focusing towards where an individual wants to be. Long-term
targets help us in shaping the direction of the lives and careers. (Myers, E. and Taylor, S.,
2015). Following are the three cases of long-phrase targets.

Gaining the management experience
Developing a career plan

A personal growth plan has been defined in the manner that it is the process of
creating an action plan on the basis of goal-setting, reflection, values, awareness and also
planned for personal development in the context of self-improvement, relationship, education
and career. Personal development plan is for the purpose of developing the own capabilities,
potential and learning new skills which will transform the personality of an individual.
If an individual has identified the goal that an individual wants to achieve a higher position in
the MNC company in the management team. For fulfilling this target first of all the individual
should do the course through some recognized university(Ali, and et.al., 2018). After that
acquire some professional skills which is required at the organisational level. The CV should
be suh that it should be stron from every aspect whether its about academics, external
activities, sports etc. Because this will give an impression to the interviewer that the
individual is all rounder person. Then give interviews for the particular companies and a list
of MNC company so that an individual can gain experience of clearing the interview at
different MNC companies. In this way, an individual can grab the job at the MNC company.

The big five criteria that has been used for evaluating the sources for credibility are:
Currency, Coverage(relevance), authority, accuracy and objectivity(purpose). Sources can
also be evaluated with the help of CRAAP Test. Data which is published by the authors are
relevant and facilitates readers to get effective information which is relevant to their data.
