INTRODUCTION
Personal development is a long process where people have to identify their knowledge,
skills and talent which is required to build their career. Being purposeful is very important as this
helps to achieve the objectives which the person aims for in their career(Mboka, 2018). Some of
the qualities and traits have to be developed in the person so that they would feel confident and
gain the capability to achieve anything. Development of personality is equally important when
the person is doing job or working in some big companies. For that it requires good
communication because when we are doing work we have to communicate with other persons.
Problem solving skills which is essential because their might be a time when the person is facing
any issue at that time they would have enough knowledge for handling such issue. If any person
is developed then it will result in good innovation, will be able to adjust in the workplace and
will gain more retention in the company itself.
MAIN BODY
According to you identify three possible career choices and select your preferred option. Explain
the reason for the choice you made
Chief executives and senior officials- The executives and the senior professionals are
responsible for managing all the financial undertakings of the company. They are
responsible for managing all the finances which the company is undertaking and to take
all the responsibility for it. I feel that the task of conducting this operation will be quite
interesting as I am already interested in conducting all the management for the companies
and to take proper review all such things(Alzghoul and Jones-Bonofiglio, 2020).
Legal professionals- For becoming a legal professional it requires a degree which I
already have as I have studied in my bachelors. If thinking of the possibility of money
than this profession provides lot of money in per week. To give legal advices is my main
preferred job.
Designer- Designing would just involve my hobby in which I am interested a lot. If such
opportunity comes to me then I would definitely love to take it. Designing for other
people as per their needs and what will I will love to make that person try would be very
interesting and amazing.

The main career option which I wanted to step in would be of ‘Legal Professional’ as this
would open for me wide areas to where I have to make the choice (Boyce, 2018). There will be
various options which I can select on according to my preference. Also working as legal
professional would make me to tackle various situations as I have to manage different cases in a
day, have to convince the customers, and lot many things which will increase my knowledge and
would be able to face difficult situation.

To explain my strengths it would be important to explain the SWOT. SWOT analysis is
helpful to identify the strong and the weak points of any person which is mentioned below-
Strengths- I consider my strength to be good managing all the situation how much
difficult the situation comes in I would be able to make the balance. For achieving my
goal it becomes utmost important to balance all the difficult situation which can come up.
Also I consider my communication skills to be better when coming to interact with the
person and to influence the other person in my things.
Weakness- My weakness which I consider is that I am not that creative for developing
any new idea and incorporating it in a creative manner (Alt, 2018). I am not able to
manage my emotions when it comes to monitor and manage my emotional point, this is
the point where I get week and then not able to make up with the situation.
Opportunities- Opportunities comes daily it is just the mind which has to be open and
the eyes which have to identify the best road which will be able to help in making me
achieve good things. Coming to my career there are various areas which I can step on and
take the classes which I am week in because this will ultimately make me good.
Threats- The changes in technology and the coming of many things have increased the
competition in the market and only those people are selected who are best in it. Also to
achieve the careers it requires to develop new techniques and things which are crucial.

For achieving the growth and success it is very crucial to develop various skills which are
new and in demand for the companies as well as in other areas. Comparing my skills I lack in
various skills which I also think is very important if I have to build my career. Thus, if I went to
company in management role then I need to develop good interpersonal skills which are required
to complete and manage the task(Browne, 2019). As already mentioned I want to develop my
career as a Legal Professional it is very important for me to develop commercial awareness and
attain good understanding for information analysis and conducting research. Also the experience
which has to be required in this should be of many years as legal professionals gains experience
year by year and no individual will give them cases when they will have enough experience to
solve all the issues. Verbal and good communication is required which I lack in and have to
develop good understanding of people which is very critical if one has to become a legal
professional. Knowledge which I actually want to take and receive from my professors has to be
a lot more. Because I am lacking in many areas of legal issues which I have to develop as early
as I can for achieving what I wish to gain success.
For bridging the gaps I have to develop many skills and knowledge and also have to gain
enough experience if I have to work as a legal professional. Developing knowledge requires
more study and taking the help for my teachers if I am facing any difficulty. I know that it will
take much time for developing the experience and time by time I will learn many new things and
will be able to solve the entire situation which right now considers to be difficult. If I identify my
pitfalls in which I am lacking is my knowledge and experience which I have to develop as early
as I can because only my knowledge will make me successful and I would be able to achieve
greater success.
Evaluate three “next steps” that are SPECIFIC, MEASURABLE, ATTAINABLE, RELEVANT
and TIME BASED
SMART is basically the technique which is used to set the goals of the person(Shahid,
2020). To ensure that the goals have to be achieved in a successful manner individual has to
develop in itself the SMART which stands for-

Specific- This means that the goals which have been set has to be very transparent and
specific. I have made my goals very specific so that I don’t have to face further issues.
Measurable- The goals which have been set it is now required to measure it whether it is
good or not. I have to measure all the goals and objectives which I have set to track my
progress on achieving it.
Achievable- The goals which are set have to be achievable in the sense it should not be
difficult in achieving it. The career which I have chosen is not difficult and if I will work
hard then I will achieve it.
Relevant- The goals should be relevant in the sense that it should be able to build the
career.
Time bound- Goals must have some time to achieve it otherwise the focus on achieving
the goals would not remain stagnant.
The steps which will be SMART are mentioned below-
Identify your priorities- It becomes important to identify what I have to achieve in my
life which means the priorities which I have to set for myself.
Make sure that the objectives are SMART- While focussing on the goals it becomes
extremely important that the goals should be SMART which are mentioned earlier. I
have to achieve my goal in legal profession which satisfies all the points of SMART.
To make sure that the objectives/goals are rightly fit- It becomes important that the
goals which I have set for myself is good and will suit me efficiently(Borg, 2018). This
becomes essential so that the person does not waste their time in achieving those which
will not give them any result.

CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that personal development is crucial for the
people not just to adjust in the workplace but also in many other places. Because this is the only
factor where the person will go out from its comfort zone and will be able to face every possible
situation. When the person is having enough confidence then it would enable them to boost their
self confidence and esteem infront of their superiors or in any other top management. But for
such development it is important that the person to bring in by their self such changes and tries to
develop new and good changes which will be beneficial for the person and will be able to
achieve all the objectives.
