Introduction
Personal development initiatives or activities taken concerning developing of individual's
ability or capability to perform a specified task. In the given report document, evaluation of
assessment 1 will be analysed. The given report will form basis of development in once personal
career and will formulate an effective path towards attainment of short-term, long-term and
medium-term goals. Further in the report PDP is being highlighted which performs self-
evaluation of personal skills and abilities being developed over the period of time (Wagner and
et. al., 2018).
Main Body
Concept of personal and professional development.
Professional development evaluates on once abilities to understand the given role and
performing each tasks in the best manner possible. The term development here evaluates on
increasing productivity of an individual by performing certain task with comparison to end goals
and objectives as made earlier. On the other hand, personal development reflects towards
increasing once potential to perform personal goals and relates tasks on daily basis. The given
term hinders overall growth of an individual and improving talents and capabilities in the process
being (Vujičić and Tambolaš, 2019).

Value of short-term goals with 3 personal examples.
Short term goals act as a milestone through which long term goals of an individual can be
achieved. Such goals direct activities performed by an individual towards the correct direction of

working. There is a significant value which can be provided through setting up such goals, as
these goals considers short period of time for completion of a specific task in which time
management skill of an individual can be build. My current short term goals are listed below
(Sato and Haegele, 2018); Improving assignment numbers: For this short term goal, my focus will be on improving
assignment marks This will engage my skill sets in a particular direction towards the
attainment of desired future long term goals. Followed with the approach such goals can
enable my potential to get exposure to my real capabilities and perform effective self-
evaluation. Developing morning routine: Scheduling my routine will provide me good support to
perform several tasks in the day ahead. By developing morning routine, it is believed that,
I will be able to perform tasks in the day long with fresh mind and will also feel
energetic. Through this I will be ensured about actively taking part in other day activities
and will also be benefited with having physically fit body.
Maintaining a diary: This will help me to take a note of each and every tasks performed
throughout the day. In addition to this, given goal will also develop abilities for
remembering things and could also encourage development of self-evaluation skill. On
the other hand, I can also note daily tasks to be performed for the day. This will directly
influence over my good personality development as I will be more responsive towards the
given tasks (Roldán-Merino and et. al., 2019).
Value of medium-term goals with 3 personal examples.
A medium term goal is defined for its accomplishment under 1-5 years. Such goals forms
a basic path way between short term and long term goals which ensures regularity of hard work
and increases dedication for attainment of desired ultimate goals or objectives being defined
previously. Value offered by such goals include formulating an effective bridge between short
term and long term goals and also focuses on maintaining good interest of an individual to attain
pre-decided objectives and goals. My current medium term goals are listed below (Noguera,
Robledano and Garralda, 2018); Buying a house: My foremost medium term goal is to acquire a house in my residential
area. Through this I will be exempted from the pressure of paying monthly charges or
rents. Although, the daily maintenance charges for the house will compliment the charge

but sense of self-property is being acquired. Additionally, this will form as my personal
asset and will increase financial wealth. Building my personality: This forms as my another medium term goal under which
building my personality at the top most priority will be focused. For this goals several
initiatives will be taken for instance, taking online personality development course, self-
analysis techniques. The given goal will form an effective path towards attainment of
desired long term goals and will enable me to socialise better and feel motivated
throughout my career.
Going to my dream trip: One of the medium term goal includes going to my dream trip to
my favourite country i.e. Itlay. This will engage my personal life in fun activities which is
also necessary along with performing several professional goals in my life. For this goal,
I will be able to perform fun activities that will act as a mind freshener for me and
afterwards can focus better on my dedicated or ultimate objectives in my personal as well
as professional life (Lo, 2019).
Value of long-term goals with 3 personal examples.
Long term goals are identified for their completion in more than period of 5 years. By
developing such goals and tracking progress an individual can be benefited by accomplishment
of long term goals and objectives. Such types of goals guides efforts of an individual towards the
particular direction of working as the time taken for completion of goals are high, therefore such
goals aids towards attainment of desired long term objectives of an individual. My current long
term goals are mentioned as follows (Delaney and et. al., 2020); Career plan: For my long term goals development of my personal career plan will be
initiated. Through this, I can direct my abilities and tasks performed in a particular
direction through which wastages of resources or my personal efforts can be avoided.
Creating such plans will enhance my abilities in long run and will ensure me about
effective completion of the desired activities. Mastering skill: In relation to my various skill sets and set of capabilities I posses, I will
focus on developing or mastering a particular skill. This could in communication skill
and relating the given skill in context of corporate markets. Such skill will help me to
develop understandings of corporate market and will also direct my efforts and resources

invested towards the correct or effective path to attain the desired personal as well as
professional objectives.
Building professional network: Building professional network, will guide my activities
ensuring decent socialising activities. Through this initiative, I will get sense of
recognition in the corporate world and through effective communication, leadership and
management techniques, I can operate as an individual earning source for my family
(Braidman, Regan and Humphreys, 2018).
Value of Personal Development Plan
There are variety of values deprived from personal development plan that includes
shaping qualities of an individual and directing the efforts of an individual in the particular
direction of working. In general terms personal development refers to strategies adopted aiming
growth of an individual in prospectives of talent, potential, employability etc. There are several
values derived from the said technique, some of them are as follows (Williams, Rathert and
Buttigieg, 2020); Clarity of personal vision: Through personal development plan, clarity of personal vision
is to be initiated. Under this technique an individual develops clear understandings of
ultimate personal objectives and various ways through which such objectives can be
achieved. Drives motivation: By reflecting to personal development plan, an individual derives
feelings of motivation. This further helps individual to perform each allotted tasks with
best of its efforts and effective use of business or personal resources.
Confidence: The given technique also allows an individual to perform each task
confidently. As a strong basis of working an justified level of activity to be performed is
being staged. therefore, individual performs each tasks confidently that reflect on its good
personality (Amundsen and D’Amico, 2019).
Conclusion
From the evaluation of the given report document it can be concluded that, using
techniques of goal making and exploring concepts of personal and professional development
through formulating PDP enhances abilities of an individual to perform allotted task.
Furthermore, it can be said that by evaluating on personal skills and abilities an individual
