Personal development plan
Core purpose statement
Apart from the family, it is very important to have close connections with other people too. Friends can play a big role in
the development aspects of a person in his/her lifetime. For that, I value and appreciate the existence of people in my life with the
mission of bringing care and compassion to improve the welfare of people around me. Besides the virtue of kindness, l am a good
listener to the people with respect towards the varied range of opinions l receive from different people.
Moreover, l impress confidence at work with readiness to handle different challenges that come along at workplace with
passion and consistency. I like helping out those that are stranded with timely consultations, which improves other people’s trust and
confidence in me. Communication is the core tool that enables people to interact, run businesses, make inclusive decisions, and even
make an expression of ideas in a very simple way that is understood by the relevant people. However, l am working on my
communication skills on the daily basis so that l can improve how to reach out to different people in the effort of achieving goals and
objectives while providing substantial care to the people around me for l believe that through caring for others the world will be a
better place.

Career vision statement
Being the eldest in the family, it has taught me to be a very independent person who has the
attributes to lead people. Leadership has been my passion from my childhood. For instance, l was the
president of the business club back in secondary school. I also possess a strong adaptability to new
environment, especially different workplaces. With regard to leadership skills, l like working in a flexible
work environment where l make my own decisions. As l am currently taking international business and
marketing degree, l intent to venture into fashion and makeup industry after my degree course. I hope to
expand my business within the country with a vision of expanding it even in other countries across the
world. I believe leadership skills that I have with the knowledge I am acquiring at the college will enable me
to run my business efficiently. I intend to make a positive work environment for my business environment
since that would be my career.

Vision board
Besides ambitions to be a successful businessperson, stewardship is also
one of my dreams as seen in the first picture. I love travelling a lot as it enables me
to meet people of different diversities and cultures that broaden my thinking and
decision-making processes. I want to be a steward because l get fulfilment in making
the strangers welcome, comfortable and feel safe around me during these travels . I
acknowledge that being a steward does not only entail servicing the travellers with
drinks and food but also taking a compassionate care for them during travels.
Makeup and fashion are part of every woman. I believe that the first
impression always makes a big difference in almost every situation. Fashion and
makeup shape the visionary and creates appeal in the appearance of women. I want
to establish a fashion and makeup business that would enable the women to have a
varied choice and preference of their outlook. Some people say that makeup is a
waste of time and money but why not have them when you have the money and
ability to acquire them. As money is important to everyone, it is also the most
important thing to me so l would like to combine my interest in the fashion and
makeup business so that l can earn money from what l am interested in.

First goal: Getting an A in the final exam
S for specific: I will be taking my final exam in July. I am aiming to get an A result at least in four subjects out of six subjects l
am taking. Great results are important as they can enable me to apply for a scholarship to further my studies even in other countries.
The subjects l want to obtain an A are; accounting, business communication, microeconomics, and management.
M for measurable: to achieve these goals l have set up a study timetable that guides me through my studying time and helps me
to ensure all the subjects have been attended to. I have also planned to start my studies from the first week of the course and ensure
that l follow the prepared timetable with consistency throughout the entire course.
A for achievable: In addition to hard work, l will follow up the lecturers for consultations and discussions with fellow students
to ensure l achieve this goal. I will note down the challenges encountered during the study time to forward to the lectures for
discussions in class.
R for relevant: Achieving an A result will enable me to be in the position to apply for scholarships overseas for further studies.
Achieving this grade can be a source of motivation to my young siblings and all the people that look upon me. It will also motivate me
to further my studies.
T for time-bound: Since l now have approximately one month before the day of the exam which starts on 12 of July, l have to
put in more efforts to meet the exam requirements for me to achieve an A result.
